psychic bridge 1 again (humans --> Beastfolk)
Another update from on high.
Orwell's convinced there's some kind of corporate sabotage going on, so that's fun. Trying to figure out how much I can do without putting my overlay on the line.
They're also asking if any of us want to go down there in person and scare you guys into behaving, which has about a snowball's chance in hell of working, but I for one look forward to this blowing up in their faces. That said, if the island isn't yours yet you might wanna fucking make it yours before the week's out. If anyone's down there who can declarify the shit out of it, that'd probably work nicely.

For what it's worth, I also used a skill from... one of the Arcana or other... to see if I could get some idea of how best to secure the survival of the Folk. What I got was this:
All of the hubs need to be protected, and then physically guarded by Folk who have at least been told the basics of how to use them.
Up on the station, people need to learn that the Folk are actual people and to care enough about them to protest against Orwell if they try to just wipe them out of existence; I think the idea is that Orwell wouldn't want to risk losing its entire income stream, at least in the short term. Swift being brought in somehow because they'd like a share of the profits as well would likely also help.
The Folk also need access to the terraform space station and a permanent shuttle, which will greatly help their chances of survival, especially if they're willing to take immigrants from the stations.
None of those are a perfect guarantee of survival, but they'd greatly hamper Orwell in the event that they decided to destroy Home.

If it were just me I'd be contacting Swift yesterday, but... overlay who doesn't deserve to get dunked on. Unless she decides in her own right she's in - 'there are actual people in at least some capacity' wasn't hard to work out, though, but it's the difference between all actors and not actors.

Hopefully taking control of the midges will help with that. Why is Orwell going on about sabotage, though?
[Has there been actual sabotage, or...?]

Also I'm pretty sure Yukino wanted to fuck up their survey results and try to keep them from killing any of the actors, because that was a thing they were fishing for info on.

When you get to the midges, can you, like, get them to make some no fly zones? We can't do all the memory restores at the latrines, people will wonder why Humansona has to use them constantly... I mean, I guess we could fake him getting the shits but we'd much rather have some other safe zones.
Say... Stone's house, Acantha's house, some other place in the woods maybe?
Also. Also, also, maybe give them some kind of way that we can get them to temporarily clear an area? That could be helpful for when we do the big all folk meeting for everyone to find out what the shit is going on.

It starts with light and glowing, backlit figures descending from the sky. Sudden vertigo, then it's night, and the Beastfolk are huddling. There's a really bad tension in the air. Then it's burning and dunked in freezing water with the day back, and Folk are turning their backs on the glowing figures. Some have farm tools and fishing or hunting spears and are aiming at them. There's another jagged shift, this time with a suffocating pressure, and the night's back. There's a flash of light from Gods' Isle and a feeling like static electricity.
Suddenly, without a disorienting shift, I'm on Gods' Isle, watching a human figure stumble back from some kind of machine while all the blinking lights on the Isle go dark, one by one. Another shift with dizzying motion and tingling in all of my limbs. It's dawn, and the folk of Home are staggering around, grasping at their throats and chests like they can't breathe. Some are already on the ground, twitching and vomiting. The shift this time has weightlessness and graying vision. There's a feeling like reaching a hand out, and I turn the human figure around, and it's Phillip - and he's been crying.
I had a dream in a Jaunt where Phillip was involved before and we let that slip up. We're not doing it again.

But I talked to him last week and I think his resolve is wavering, so it might be better to work on that angle.

[He must have missed this one. The last time he did the half-infiltrating thing, he had an infiltrated baby, so he couldn't even try to get into liminal.]

But one of the signs in your livestream said Karachi, and if that's still inland it'd be easier to get to.
