Would someone who is only investigating be willing to help me retrieve an object from Moonfall and bring it to liminal space? I can give the location, but for various reasons, I would rather the Cabalist whose body I am sharing not learn of its continued existence.

Said object is about the height of a child of a child of seven and a bit more than twice the weight. It can be safely handled by anyone as long as one doesn't try to kythe with it. I'd ask you to bring it to liminal space via portal and hammerspace and after the Jaunt I'd take custody of it.

I mostly like Investigating better because my overlays tend to die, but it still makes me nervous. But then, my first real Jaunt was Nova Venezia.

Luckily I don't think the person she told actually knew about us having been there before. But enough people did that it was a problem.

And the other Arcana was Hanged Man. It was a claiming Jaunt, though, so they weren't competing.

I talked to one of them after she figured out who I was. She was... upset about us being back. I couldn't really blame her given some of the things that had happened, and even if I had offered reassurances, I doubt she would have believed them.

They probably wouldn't have been. Some of us were hoping to do right by them, but there were too many others who simply didn't care. And I think most of the veterans didn't know it was a repeat Jaunt in the first place, much less what they did or didn't do that time.

In my case, I'd been working on her ship, but a rival crew separated me from my chaperone and attacked us both separately when we were allowed to leave on a supply run. My attacker got lucky and cut off my arm, and I was forced to reattach it, and enough people saw me before, during, and after that that there was no way for me to convincingly lie about it even if I had been any good at lying.

I still fared better than my chaperone, though - she nearly died. Would have, if I hadn't managed to reattach my arm in time.

I know everyone freaks out every single time we get a preview because they're worried about repeating that scenario, so that doesn't surprise me.

After that Jaunt and a few others, nobody wants to take chances.

That's... a thing my kind can do, if they need to. Defensive-types can outright regrow their limbs, but at the time I couldn't do that.

Can you do that now? Seems a little easier than trying to reattach a limb during a fight.

Yes - my ability to heal became much stronger after I ended up in a dungeon. But reattachment is actually faster in most cases, because using too much yoma energy in too short a time can be dangerous even if it's for healing.
