We seem to be caught in some sort of siege. As we don't know how long we will be here, I would highly recommend taking inventory of what food, water, and other supplies we may have. From there, we may be able to formulate a plan.

I've generally found it a good sight more effective to single a person out rather than try and negotiate with an entire group, and use whatever leverage one has at hand.
