What's going on with the Conductors is that they have the powers of Leah's Friday night gaming table, and I don't like that one bit.

Or did you not notice the Coolest Kid in the Club surrounds herself with a Paladin, a Wizard, a Barbarian, a Cleric and whatever the fuck the Vodiyanoi is?

It's poking my "I'm not saying it's Shuizn, but it's Shuizn" buttons.

I hadn't quite gotten a chance to talk to them yet - there's a bunch of excited and confused Champions around here.

Sorry, "Shuizn"? I'm not familiar with that one. Puts me in mind of vampires for some reason.

The fact that their Bidents have cthonic powers means I was wrong, which you should be grateful for: Shuizn is one of the eldritch nasties with eyes on my homeworld, a narrative schema that barfs tropes onto people and tries to tell the story of Her resurrection through them.

That's 'cthonic' meaning 'of or relating to the Earth and the Underworld,' not as in 'Green Squidface What Makes You Go Nuts.'

I still think they're creepy, but just, you know, garden variety creepy, not Harrogate creepy.

I don't know... they're very earnest and driven, and their telepathic abilities are a lot like Travelers' bog standard telepathy. We must look pretty weird from the outside too.

I'm all for leaving the eldritch stuff behind, thanks. Glad that's not involved.
