Those of you that are new, this is a Jaunt. We're here to investigate and fix something, so first thing's first- you need to blend in. If the people here get suspicious, we'll get blocked out of opportunities to find something, and sometimes they might even take our presence around here negatively.

[That's Garrett's way of saying "don't be an idiot and play your part or I'm going to call you a moron beyond this Jaunt." There's a sigh, but he continues.]

I'm not one for leading, someone else is going to have to take that job. Might want to sound off, just to see who all we have for this round.

Okay! ...wait, who are you calling a kid?

[If it's possible for a mental voice to get quieter, Sei's just did; but, because they have to be sure they're blending in and they're not supposed to cause a scene, she keeps quiet and stays on the lookout for a tent like the one Adachi describes.]

I'm on my way. I don't know what you look like - what are you wearing now so I know what to look for?

[Adachi let out a mental laugh.]

Look for the dumbass in the rumpled suit.

[She continues on her way, then, despite not knowing what a suit is; she figures she'll just go walk up to whoever looks the most out of place, and sure enough, there Adachi is.

Grinning - and looking, she hopes, like a young boy as she did in Japan and Liminal Space - she approaches.] I have to say, I'm impressed. You're probably the smartest-looking dumbass I've seen today.

[Adachi grins at that.]

[He paused, glancing around, before crouching down to peer under the tent to see what was inside.]

Okay, cover me. I'll try to make this quick.

Okay... but be sure you remember this place. We have to come back later to pay for these things when we can afford it!

[It's just his luck that he'd get stuck with a kid with an all-too-vocal conscience, huh. Though their jobs aren't too different - him being a cop, her being Shinsengumi. It's just her job description includes a lot more stabbing.]

[Considering his "side job", Adachi would say they were about tie on the number of stabbings they did in a day.]

[He gave a nod, dipping under the tent and looking around. He grabbed up whatever he could carry that looked like it could be worn, shoving it back under the tent to the kid.]

[When the clothing gets shoved back under the tent, Sei looks down with a start and undoes her cloak to allow it to flutter over their ill-gotten gains; then she crouches down and does her best to make it look like she's just picking up something she's dropped.

Yes, these are... totally her possessions... oh god she's going to get caught and sentenced to seppuku, isn't she. It's a very real concern when the demon vice-commander is around and he's out there somewhere, she knows it.]

Come on! [She hisses between clenched teeth.] We really need to go before someone notices!

[Adachi grabbed a few more things, before bolting out from under the tent again.]

C'mon, let's go!

[They could sort it all out when they got everything all together. He bit his lip, before focusing on the mental network.]

We got clothes! We're going to look for a safe place to hand 'em off to anyone that needs them!

[Oh man, oh man, they are totally booking it out of there and hopefully do not look too suspicious... the last thing she needs is to get thrown in a pillory or something.

She focuses on the network as well a moment later - ]
