Those of you that are new, this is a Jaunt. We're here to investigate and fix something, so first thing's first- you need to blend in. If the people here get suspicious, we'll get blocked out of opportunities to find something, and sometimes they might even take our presence around here negatively.

[That's Garrett's way of saying "don't be an idiot and play your part or I'm going to call you a moron beyond this Jaunt." There's a sigh, but he continues.]

I'm not one for leading, someone else is going to have to take that job. Might want to sound off, just to see who all we have for this round.

He is not a good liar, but nobody seems particularly suspicious if he asks about interesting stories and perhaps a little gossip. A minstrel, after all, must keep up-to-date on the people's predilections, and everybody has a good tale to share.]

A missing queen, ruleless barons, aimless knights who...do thoughtless things as one may expect. Banditry and dragons seem to be real concerns...and there are talks about suppressing them both. Besides, the entire kingdom is plagued by the worst sort of witchcraft, and no one seems to be immune to it.

Bandits? Shouldn't be a problem to talk with. [He means getting information from them. Thieves and bandits are pretty similar, so he can probably mosy in with them.]

Any idea what the witchcraft is? I haven't heard anything about that.

Nothing...[Nothing that he can identify as heavenly or demonic, or even human. The Trumps have made sure he couldn't.] It is rather random, this much I have been told. Nothing worries the common man more than the completely unexpected. At the tavern, there was a lady whose songs could turn into flowers.

[It seems the competition in Dolorosa is really tough.]

...well that's not something I was expecting. Is she still there?

[If she's still there, he can tail her, or find out whatever else he can. Magic seems to be the go-to for surprises here, and it's not something he's entirely used to, but he can work with it.]

[Kevin is not that eager to eliminate the competition, and being friendly with bandits doesn't give the voice inside his head the best credentials.]
