[There’s a lot of chatter going on, literally making it hard to hear yourself think, between veterans gossipping and speculating what the new wave of Travelers means, and accidental broadcasts by panicked new arrivals, until one hard-edged thought cuts through it all.]

Enough.

You all need to stop this before we drive ourselves insane.

Anyone with experience on the Network, I want a few organized broadcasts offering help and information to newcomers. We don’t call them Fools.

If you’re new, stay calm. No-one can overhear you unless you’re projecting. Try to divide yourselves as evenly as you can between the people giving you answers. That much is instinctive, you won’t have trouble as long as you can imagine it.

Anyone who’s been here longer and wants to speculate? Don’t do it publicly. Find your own little corners, or keep it off the network.

New telepaths. You’ll need to find someone more experienced more than anyone else does.

And everyone be ready for a new Jaunt.

Keyword is sent. [And she stresses that enough because she thinks that's a stupid question. Something a newbie would say, but Lightning has already said something to this effect earlier. Or so she believes.]

Meaning one moment we're here, and the other moment we're elsewhere. Doesn't leave much time to refuse or dig our claws into this world, does it?

[Maybe she didn't get her question across correctly. She takes a moment to think about it.]

There's something they want us to do. Right? Will they send us somewhere else if we haven't done it?

[Lightning raises her eyebrow-- now she gets it, and decides harsh is the way to go here.]

Do you want to stay stuck in one place forever?

There's no difference. I didn't want to be here.

[Reviewing all the information she's been told, she realizes what she should have asked to begin with.] What are the rules? [Broader questions are the way to go.]

[She's no stranger to this "working together" business, but if she's going to be a newcomer, she should probably get the group kinks out of the way first. Misunderstandings and miscommunication—having experienced them and their consequences, she's not a fan. It's frustrating, though, not knowing what's going on, but that comes with the territory. Unfortunately.] Sorry. Making you do this.

You think any of us signed up for this?

[Lightning folds her arms, leaning back against the wall.]
You don't want to be in other worlds for long either. So just do it, or other people will do it anyway, and after the Jaunt we'll be sent back here. But it's best to just do it, even if it's just for survival.

And there are no rules, except for not letting people from other worlds know that you're not exactly one of them, and not getting in the way of the investigation, because people wont be pleased with you for that.

I don't believe there aren't any rules. The group is too big. [She's had conflicts in groups as few as four people. And with someone saying "Fools" in this group, she's guessing it isn't all peaceable.]

Are there any courtesy rules? Ranks? Leaders I should report to?

Good luck finding any leaders. [And that's all she says about that.]

[That throws her a little, and she wonders if that means that the group is already conflicted so as to have multiple "leaders," or if it just means that Rekka should figure it out for herself. The latter isn't bad advice.]
