So, question. Does anyone have a thing that charges things up? I need to figure out if I've made a functional lightcycle or if it's just a pretty but useless baton.

It was that or find a salad to laugh into. [That part's quieter; she probably didn't mean to broadcast it. Either way, Claudia would like some help with a thing pls.]

If it's working, I'll start taking requests. Only a couple at a time, though, I need to make sure I have time to... you know. Eat and sleep.

[Just a few minutes after they finished speaking on the Network, there is a knock on Claudia's door.]

[Well, at least she's not neck-deep in CE when he comes knocking. On the other hand, Leo was there to experience CE in action, unlike poor Helena, who actually walked in on it. oops?]

Yeah?

Claudia, it's me. May I come in?

[Leo cracks open the door juuuuuust a smidge, but he doesn't dare open it all the way yet, not without permission.]

Sure thing, door's open.

[The room doesn't have a whole lot in the way of personal touches yet. There's a laptop and an adorable scarab monodrone on the desk, and a lockbox and a pair of goggles on the dresser; Claudia herself is lounging in the desk chair, fiddling with a now-slightly-scorched lightcycle baton.]

As you can see, the first attempt didn't quite work. I don't think it actually damaged anything, though.

[He steps into the room and gives a small bow of his head in greeting, before he quietly steps over, taking a cursory examination of the baton into account.]

Well, just in case...

[Leonardo reaches out and casts a Mending cantrip on the baton, removing a bit of the singed portions of the baton - not quite as good as new, but better than before.]

It is not much, but... I do hope it eases the repair process for you.

[She shrugs.] Eh, that wouldn't take me too long regardless. Thanks, though. Anyway - fire away, let's see if this works.

[He nods, pulling out a slender, curved crystal wand from his pouch. The wand has a violet bulb on one end, and a red glass orb on the other end; it is the red orb which he points toward the baton.]

... here goes nothing, I suppose...

[And he places the red orb against the wand. Soon, light begins to glimmer within the wand, and it drains slowly in spirals into the baton, which begins to glow with the familiar Crypto green he is used to.]

... it's working!

Oh hell yes. [She can't help the huge grin at their success. IT WORKED.]
