Mostly, yes. You could teach them to heal themselves, with difficulty, but they never healed humans. I'm not sure they could have. They weren't like us that way.

It is. Even for regular mortals, white magic and black can't do the same things. And there are all these other types of magic from other worlds...

We find it...strange, that magic is so wildly different from one world to another. Especially when - as far as I know - there haven't been any worlds without, say, gravity, or the usual laws of physics. Haven't seen any without humans, even. When you think about it, it's odd that the worlds aren't more different. For the most part, they're more similar than not.

But magic? That's all over the place.

I don't know much about gravity and things, but that seems to be true. I still know how to do the kind of summoning from that other world, even though we're not there anymore, and it's so different - I could never do anything like that at home.
