Hello and welcome to another exciting session of What Terrible Crap Were We All Exposed To On The Last Jaunt. Fortunately, this one's not quite as urgent as space was.

It occurred to me that the Romans were pretty fond of lead, so those of us who were there have probably been exposed to more of it than usual over the last month. Lead's... really not so great for the human body. This time I'm leaving the antidote up to individual discretion, but there's some in the workshop and some in Kanji's place.

I know I just said it's up to personal choice, Zoe-san, and you'd probably do this anyway, but I definitely recommend you get some of this for the baby, at least. Lead's especially rough on kids and I don't want to see her get sick.

I did what I could, but it still tastes pretty terrible. You might have a hard time getting her to finish it.

Of course it is. The only real limit on what I can do with it is my imagination. [And thus we see why he's wary of even attempting to teach anyone else.]

I'm hoping some of the chemistry talk will be a good supplemental knowledge base, even though it's a completely different thing in the end. And either way that'll help me some at home.

Honestly, the practice and goals of alchemy and chemistry are nearly the same, and the latter wouldn't exist without the former. It's the theory that is different.

The theory and the end results. And then there's the Nova Venezia stuff, which sounds the same as mine but produces completely different stuff.

Not in the same way, and most people don't have access to one of those.

Considering how it works, there's probably less risk to people who were infiltrating. But it can't hurt regardless.

... yeah. It's mostly thanks to Mikasa. That and he did try to be friendly with Eli, so it made me feel more comfortable.

Jean remembers what Eli remembers about Attius' family. About the sister who had passed away. Of course, infiltrators necessary didn't share their family history... but with Jean also having a matching family, it was possible.]

Yeah. I... it was months before it really sank in that she wasn't coming back. For a long time I felt like I was doing something wrong. [And Jean can probably guess some of what Naoki's Shadow had to say, from that.]

They are. I like them a lot. She'd always steal them before I got a chance to eat any, though. 'Oh, they were going to go bad, I didn't want that to happen, I'll pay you back.'

These are the only two times I've encountered. Odd that they're so close together.

I know there's been at least one other time. [That time Armin got radiation poisoning, leading Eren to freak out on the Network when he found out.] But this used to be a rare thing, and now it's happened every time I've been me on a Jaunt? What the hell kind of shitty timing is that!?
