[Armin tries to look professional, but this liminal has been trying, in a number of ways. He keeps his face neutral, but he looks tired - and there's a tension to his expression, just a hint of sadness.]

I have the list of those Travelers who are no longer with us. To be clear, I am only including Travelers who have been here for at least a jaunt. There are too many who both arrived and vanished in the last couple weeks for me to include them all, since I never met most of them. If anyone wants to know whether somebody who showed up during the last couple weeks is still here, however, I can find out.

[He goes quiet for a long moment, before continuing on a different vein.] Most of you will probably have noticed, but this liminal space seems to be messing with our heads - making people more cynical and paranoid.

Eldritch defenses work against this influence.

I'm not sure exactly what this means, but we should be on guard. However, I have searched thoroughly and I can find no trace of the King in Yellow's sign.

[He doesn't move from the spot, like he's told. But though he sees her coming, the hug is a surprise. He's still for a moment, and then he hugs back just as tightly, his voice surprised and worried and gentle.]

...'kasa? You all right?

That should be my question to you.

[ And she'd like to ask the same from Armin back home too after hearing everything from Jean. Which just makes her hug him a little more tighter and lean her head against him once Armin is hugging her back too. Hello emotional hug, she might be surprised by this too. ]

I'm fine... Just... Don't go do dangerous things alone, when you have us here.

I'm all right.

[Despite his words, he lets out a somewhat shaky breath and relaxes even further into the hug, leaning his head against her in turn. This is... nice. He's usually much more high strung than even he realizes - never truly feeling safe, and never taking any time to relax. This kind of hug, especially from Mikasa - it helps him with both. It eases his tension - and she's one of the only ones that can actually make him feel safe. Even after everything that's happened, after all the time they've been apart. She's still his knight in shining armor. His protector.

It's not that dangerous, M'kasa, really. If it shows up and nobody's interfered with it, I'd just seal it, and we'd all be fine. And if someone did interfere... then we'd already be drawn to it by the screaming.

[He shakes his head without pulling back.]

I'll try, though, for you and Eren. But... I'm not as weak as I used to be. You can count on me too now, you know. At least a little. I'm strong enough. At least for things like this, I can be useful.

[ It takes a moment for Mikasa to relax there, but once she hears those words and feels Armin relax, she takes a deep breath and clearly relaxes too. He's there, she'd let nothing hurt him while he's this close to her and he is all right despite her always worrying about them. Not that she thinks it's a bad thing, she just wants them all to stay safe and together because what the hell would she do without them? No idea and Mikasa doesn't want to find out. ]

Well, you could still take us with you, so we don't worry about you here.

[ Because that's what she does. Worries when she can't find them. Especially after seeing shifters from the other side here and for all other reasons too.

. . . . . . She swallows hard, burying her face into his clothes. Right, he's still from Trost. Is he always going to feel that way? Who knows, she hopes not and she's ... Still horrible with words, but she's been doing a lot of trying with them for the boys here. So, this time it's for Armin. ]

[ Dead wrong. Possibly literally if Eren and Mikasa hear it depending on the situation. She pulls her head back enough to look at him, still staying in the hug. She wishes there was someone better with words to explain this to him, but well, here goes seeing if she can do this well. Words shouldn't be that difficult between family and she'll do anything for them. ]

We always count on you, more than you realize. We trust you with our lives. Me and Eren ...we're stupid, reckless idiots, who need you with us to keep us from making stupid mistakes and to make a complete team. [Their team of three is humanity's best hope for survival, right? Or team of four according to what Jean can tell from home considering his teamwork with Armin.] Being strong isn't always about physical strength or power, we --- would have been completely lost without your brilliant brain and fast way of thinking more often than even I can count by now. [Except she could count all of those times. That'd be spoilers for him, so she won't tell anything.]

[ More surprises to his day, when she leans in and gives a kiss to his forehead. ]

I just -- -- want us all to stay safe and together. [pause, an even longer pause, gosh is that all?] So we can look out for and support each other from whatever.

[ It's not teamwork if they leave one of them out or one of them goes alone... For good reasons, but Mikasa is all about protecting her family and keeping them all alive, safe and together. ]
