Get Your Psychic Protection Here

In light of recent events both during and outside of recent Jaunts, I think it's past time to start teaching our fellow Travelers how to defend themselves against telepathic intrusion.

It is entirely possible to guard your thoughts - and your conversations - from unwanted scrutiny using the psychic network that binds us all. It can take some time to develop the necessary familiarity, but if anyone wishes to learn, I am willing to teach them.

Unfortunately, it may not be a perfect defence against intrusions originating outside the network, but so far it has seemed to convey at least some protection in the majority of those cases as well.

I guess that makes sense.

I'm getting a feel now for what the rest of my family's always had. That's what I meant by Force. They's what they call it. I never even believed it was real til I got caught up in a bunch of stuff and ended up with a whole family able to use it.

And then there's me, the only regular guy in the group.

Partly....it's mental and physical both. I still don't know what all they can do. They're always hauling off and surprising me with something.

It makes parenting a lot tougher, believe me.

I guess that helps. I imagine Jaina had a little bit easier time than me.

Yeah, we use 'em. And yeah, I'm noticing that. It's almost like one of our communications things, but without the actual hand-held machinery.

I'm not sure I'd like that anyway. [Han's uneasy about the word 'cybernetics'. He knows there are great people like Luke with some, but he can't help picturing Vader in his head, either. Of course, Han has no way of knowing of the cybernetic eye he'll get years later...].

I mean, they aren't all bad...like my brother-in-law and that hand of his...but not all my experiences've been good.

I know, it's all up to whoever's got the things how they use 'em, but it still doesn't entirely sit well. I'm just not sure I'd want one myself.

True on the volume control, though.

It's not exactly uncommon, but it's basically a last resort. Most injuries can get fixed up fairly quickly with a dip in what we call bacta. But, sometimes if ya lose something that can't be reattached...like Luke's hand...then they get used.

I just had a really bad run-in some years back with a guy who was more man than machine and what was left of him was evil all the way. I think of cybernetics and still hear that raspy breathing of his sometimes. It wasn't pretty.
