Do any of you have experience with... if you're with someone but you're not infiltrating but they are infiltrating, and they still really like you? And what to do?

[This might be easier if Kenzaki even understood the question he was trying to get at. Alas.]

...when you were infiltrating, did you... I mean, no, I mean... this is really hard... Did you find the person you were dating while they were investigating and hit it off with them? Or anything like that? Did you mind, afterwards, if that's what happened?

I didn't mind. But I don't mind... most things.

I definitely hit it off while infiltrating, more than once. It was awkward afterwards, but no-one took advantage of it.

I think the question you should ask is, how do you feel about this version of them? They're a real person from this world, and so they'll lose touch with you when we leave. If you do date them, you need to let them know it isn't long-term. And that you like them for who this version is, not who the Traveler sharing a body with them is.

That's the problem, that's the exact problem! I'm going to have to leave eventually and... and I know how this guy works. I had to leave him before, for real, and it was stupid that I did but I had to and it just wrecked him. I don't... I don't want to do that again.

So I've got to be honest? That I'm not going to be here long?

Not dating, but it's happened with my friends a few times.

Most notably, I ended up neck-deep in a rebellion.

Oh, geez. I think I'd kind of prefer that. There'd be things to punch? That'd be so much easier....

Punching would have defeated the purpose anyway. At least, up to the point where there was a common enemy to band against.

But its not Hajime, it's some guy that's kind of Hajime but not him and that makes it really complicated!

So you're saying that the person you are currently dating is Infiltrating, and that person's Overlay has an interest in you?

Well, that makes for an interesting situation. I do not have experience in it, but I guess it would depend on your comfort level, and how much you have done or not done with the person you're dating.

It's complicated in a whole bunch of different ways, though! Not even just the doing stuff. Geez.
