Let's not throw around the term "facism" so easily. This is more like a dictatorship, if anything...

Nn, I was marked during my first Jaunt by Judgement.

Nothing easy about. Every aspect of our lives is controlled. Slowly being assimilated to more easily mobilize as military forces, likely in warring factions when their plans are in place. Fledgling mixed economy is developing. Democracy is non-existent.

What does your mark look like?

Fascism implies an intricate political situation where the mass in control would be united by some common bond- race, nationality, ideology- and use it to effectively strip any dissenters of their rights, creating a purge. Even the Trumps don't seem to match that idea- even we Travelers aren't united. The Trumps seem to war amongst themselves from what I've heard, and with that in mind...

They're warring countries and we're the chess pieces caught in the crossfire. It's a power struggle among the lot of them, implying no centralized control... si? We have no control here, but that doesn't inherently make it fascism.

But you are right in that it's certainly not democratic.

As for my mark... it's a waterfall down my spine, between two angel's wings. The Roman numerals XX rise from the water when the mark is touched- and the wings move.

Multiple warring powers, who fit facist ideals. Dissenters are already having rights stripped, and the powers are picking out their chosen, marking them based on their own idealogy. Just because we don't always know what bond they are using to mark their ubermensch doesn't mean it isn't facism. This is just the start. This early phase - we will see them conform further to the facist ideal as time goes by.

Expect those of us who don't get marked will be purged eventually.

You don't think they would toss aside perfectly good playing pieces, would you? Especially not when someone could claim it to make their own toolbox stronger.

...regardless of what's happening here, I think it's good to be a little wary. Although I want to hope they don't have such awful intentions, it doesn't seem like that'll be the case.

Already have tossed aside multiple playing pieces, perfectly good or not. Seems to be a habit with them, bring in some new, toss out some old. Not likely they're being sent back home. Some of us are already dead.

Nn... I wonder what they do if we're not going home, then.

I would very much like to go home when they're done with me.

It's interesting, though, the power to pluck someone from their moment of death- or even beyond it. They must be very powerful indeed...

Nn, it's just me making observations. Sometimes saying things aloud helps me organize what I know.

I still don't know what they're up to. But maybe we'll find out soon enough.
