Well, well, well...ah, it seems I'm missing my usual camerawoman, but I have a couple of important announcements.

As far as I can tell, I've been here for almost exactly a year, assuming all Jaunts are "really" about six weeks and my trip to the Expo in Japan was a fluke of perception. I would like to thank you all, first of all, for being the most understanding and entertaining bunch of weirdos I've met in many years, and wish you a happy...either Halloween, or a spooky enough Liminal to be a close approximation.

The second announcement, and I'll thank anyone who cares to share this with the batch of newbies that are due to arrive in a day or three if the pattern keeps up, is that I've spent a great deal of time padding out my Liminal Room, if you'd like to drop by. I think I've turned it into a nice home away from home, and while I wouldn't think to ever detract from Maestro Leonardo's Workshop as a gathering place for Travelers, but if anyone needs extra space, I do have guest bedrooms, and I can 95% guarantee the place isn't haunted!

Except today, of course. I mean, it's Halloween. Or so.

And finally...if the calculations of myself and others are correct, Death and Justice just took the last turn in the game the Trumps are playing with us. We do not know what is next, except that change is coming. My suggestion to you, fellow travelers, is that we prepare ourselves for the unexpected.

I guess. Maybe in one of these timelines they got all crammed in here like a gaseous intestinal blockage. It's mid January for me.

Oh, I have no idea where I came in from my original perspective. I died in October, but everything sort of blends together after that.

I'm just going off of arriving to a spooky gothic pyramid and a Dia de los Muertos celebration originally, and the fact that the last Jaunt world we were in was celebrating Samhain.

We'll see if the Trumps lay out candy again, but for now I'm sure the other Travelers will be hospitable to a cute Witch.

If you arrived during the gothic pyramid Liminal as I did, yes. Especially if you went to space instead of Japan that one time, although I gather there were some time issues there too due to some kind of astrophysics.

What is Halloween? Does it hold some significance for the Trumps?

[ That would be... awkward. Though he is running on a different timeline counting from the date in his world when he arrived here, by his calculations, it is the day of his birth on the Julian calendar. ]

Well, if it's All Hallows, I should perhaps start planning the Liminal Ball again, if everyone would still be interested. Hm. Maybe we need something after all of these changes that will be happening.

Halloween is All Hallow's Eve - the day before All Saints Day, at least for Catholics. Although it's a Christian holiday, most of the traditions come from ancient traditions that far predate Christ - like the Samhain festival we celebrated in January.

It's the most important holiday of the year for Witches, tied with Walpurgisnacht in the spring. They're sort of like our Christmas and Easter.

I'm certainly interested, especially if it's a masquerade again. I think my magic is back to the point where I can go a little more all-out with a costume this time.

Oh, absolutely! That is half of the fun. Hopefully our hosts will be as forthcoming with a hospitable space again. I should... possibly work on sending a message like I did last time.

She's still working on crawling. Getting pretty close though. I'm just hoping she doesn't learn portals.

Eastern Orthodox Christians celebrate All Saints' Sunday as well. I have heard of Samhain and Beltane from my own world. Samhain marked the herd and harvest's end, and... something to do with spirits. Human spirits or jinn, I am not sure. It makes a sort of sense, as winter will be coming and all manner of things will die.

If that ever becomes a problem, I know how to forbid portals in an area. In fact, I plan to keep that up most of the time in my place now. I love surprises, but I love my personal space more.

Feast on your harvest, but respect the dead who came before you and the dangers that await you is the general idea. Both ghosts and demons make frequent appearances, along with all manner of monsters humanity's discovered or created in the last couple of millennia.

[Another reason she's sad her vampire buddy is out of commission, really, but there's plenty of werewolves, demons, and witches around.]

If they stick to the schedule, planning now in case you Infiltrate is probably a good idea. If not, though, it's hard to say...

Well, came up with it independently, anyway. Still, it's a skill I can pass on, since it's really just changing a property of Liminal Space.

We're probably supposed to be running off whatever timeline the Trumps started on but who the fuck knows at this point. Time here is so knotted up its like some bowel rupturing levels of volcanic constipation.

You're not kidding. We have people arriving from the High Middle Ages through some kind of post-apocalyptic distant future, from Earth to other planets. I thought it was bad when I saw a Game Master get erased from existence by letting a player do things out of order once...
