synopsychic | rap-a-doodle-do [during davesprite's surprise party]

-=someone unfortunate has gotten ahold of full blown sensory livestreaming. he's also in a pretty good mood since he was surprised with a birthday party that everyone is invited to in the Workshop. He's levitating a mirror up slightly above him to catch the immediate area, which includes Feliciano, Jolie, a perplexed but accomodating black panther of unusual size, and anyone else that decides to join in as the show goes on. They start to bop to the beat as Davesprite kicks on the music from his laptop, though Guenhwyvar merely taps her tail in time with the rhythm.

Then there comes a rapping, a not so gentle tapping upon your psychic door.

Davesprite is full on rapping streams of inanity directly into everyone's brain, complete with his own lyrics scrolling along the bottom of the 'screen'.

Partway through the performance, Malik and Altair wander into the mirror's view, and it seems to take a few seconds before they realize they're also being recorded. Altair immediately ducks out of the way only to slowly peek back in while Malik stands there staring at Davesprite with a look of impressed confusion on his face.

When the song ends and he's done with the commentary, he just smirks and peers red eyes over the edge of his shades right at the mirror=-

I am an elf, yes. It also seems that drow do not exist in most "modern" worlds. I don't even know what to think about anything "gangsta".

[It means exactly what you think it means. The reason why Drizzt stayed in his cave even after he befriended Bruenor and the rest of the dwarves started trusting him enough. The same reason he does not seek out even the people he has begun to consider friends here. Why do you think Wulfgar never knew of him until Bruenor brought the lad to be trained?]

-=yeah well, he can relate. not for exactly the same reasons but he's done the same thing to himself more than once. he's just been lucky enough to find someone that hasn't been letting him, who's maybe rubbing off on him a bit=-

[After getting rejected by a couple dozen towns and cities, sometimes even having to run for your life, for simply existing--you learn to not expect anything. Even Icewind Dale, he was basically told to live on a mountainside until people knew of him enough to accept him. Which did more or less happen in a town or two. Even after he was friends with Bruenor, he still lived in his little cave. It wasn't until Mithral Hall that Bruenor managed to sneakily bring him into living quarters surrounded by close friends and Silverymoon did he actually travel to someplace accepting of him on his own.

The last time he was invited by a stranger was by Mooshie. Then someone he barely knows just invites him so easily to a celebration? It's overwhelming.]

Yes, although I do not know what such a celebration entails. I have not had one before myself.

I dunno. Where I grew up people had parties on their birthdays to celebrate the day they popped outta their mom's nether region. All your friends show up and there's cake and games and people bring you presents. Got no clue how it started but it's a tradition and supposed to be their "Special Day".

Not sure how much of a fuck I give about all that, but Feli went through all the trouble to surprise my feathery ass with a party so I still get all my brithday boy rights because I say so.

It sounds like quite the fine tradition, and Feli sounds quite the fine friend to give you such a celebration. But I do not have a present, I'm afraid. I hope that is not too much trouble?

I must admit that I am a bit intrigued. I have written poetry before, at least, but I know nothing of rap.
