synopsychic | rap-a-doodle-do [during davesprite's surprise party]

-=someone unfortunate has gotten ahold of full blown sensory livestreaming. he's also in a pretty good mood since he was surprised with a birthday party that everyone is invited to in the Workshop. He's levitating a mirror up slightly above him to catch the immediate area, which includes Feliciano, Jolie, a perplexed but accomodating black panther of unusual size, and anyone else that decides to join in as the show goes on. They start to bop to the beat as Davesprite kicks on the music from his laptop, though Guenhwyvar merely taps her tail in time with the rhythm.

Then there comes a rapping, a not so gentle tapping upon your psychic door.

Davesprite is full on rapping streams of inanity directly into everyone's brain, complete with his own lyrics scrolling along the bottom of the 'screen'.

Partway through the performance, Malik and Altair wander into the mirror's view, and it seems to take a few seconds before they realize they're also being recorded. Altair immediately ducks out of the way only to slowly peek back in while Malik stands there staring at Davesprite with a look of impressed confusion on his face.

When the song ends and he's done with the commentary, he just smirks and peers red eyes over the edge of his shades right at the mirror=-

[Well at least Drizzt knows where Guenhwyvar got off to now. That is, however, the only thing he knows, and even then, not completely.]

[ Altaïr, through Davesprite's eyes, looks mildly perturbed, complete with stupid T-shirt deriding the English language. He holds his piece of pita and sauce, and is in danger of letting it drip onto the jeans he's wearing. His psychic words filter faintly through the rapping: ]

I am watching this on the network... at the same time... as I am watching this in person...

[ For someone not used to video cameras, and even some that are, it's a surreal experience. ]

[Malik just reaches to shift Altair's hand back over his plate.]

Do not drip sauce on my pants.

[ He snaps out of his reverie and frowns at him. ]

You entrusted these pants to me. They will be safe.

[ He then attempts to ignore Malik by addressing Davesprite. He's not sure if he should ask Davesprite over the network or in person, so he ends up doing both: ]

Is it customary to chant during one's birthday celebration?

[Rise only barely knows Davesprite, but it's a party and it's an excuse to dance with no pressure, so there she is, doing her best backup dancing accompaniment. Not that it's coordinated with anyone else, but hey, she's a professional and it's cute.]

-=their current mode of dress almost throws him off a bit. almost=-

Chant- dude no. One does not lump sick rhymes in with the droaning of some bald spot sportin' monastic motherfuckers who think a burlap sack is an acceptable habiliment.

-=nothing is coordinated and thats what makes it awesome. it's art, yo. no one can tell them otherwise. he'll even wander over and knock his hip against hers, tail feathers fanning out=-

[While Feli can be a proficient dancer when he wants to be, it's apparent he's just relaxing and being silly now, having fun as a background dancer to his boyfriend's shenanigans. The bouncy beat suits him just fine.]

Her name is Guenhwyvar. And what exactly is a nerd?

[ At least he knows what monks are. At least there's that. ]

...I take it that 'sick' does not mean afflicted, in this case?

[ He cannot possibly want to be sick on his birthday... ]

-=davesprite isn't all that proficient. he probably could be but he's never bothered to try. he had faint thoughts about being a rapper, not in a lame boy band. so the most he does is bop his shoulders back and forth with the beat, and when the song ends he turns back and grins like a dork at feli, winking over his shades=-

[Feli does wink right back and blow him a quick kiss, just to see if it'll fluster him- and with that, he heads off to settle down in a chair and have some water. He'll let Davesprite mingle a little more with the others for now.]

Big Cat is totally her gangsta name, yo. And a nerd is a guy who passes out in a library with a book splayed open on his face like the legs of a hot chick waiting for the alphabet.

Gangsta?

[Drizzt sounds eternally confused and also hesitant about this second one:]

... You do not mean a young bird, do you? And what does that have to do with the joy of falling asleep while reading?

[Also there's that irritation again.]

[Why does all of his conversations with this one end up so confusing. Also what is Guen wearing. He knew she was patient and tolerant, but he's never tried to put things on her.]

[Also there's a long pause where Drizzt, indeed, uses context clues. And WHY. He's got his head in his hand after, even though it's not visible.]

... As much as I do not like the comparison, considering my love of reading, it is— [A pause.] —apt.
