A few hours into the new Liminal Space
I'm certain by now that everyone's noticed by now that the flames of that tree produce different compulsions depending on their colour, if anyone should happen to get too close to them.
What I find more interesting is the fact that the burns appear to heal just as rapidly as the effects wear off. Is rapid recovery from minor injury some new and convenient effect of Liminal Space, or shall we just write that off as this particular breed of fire being more merciful than most?

The colors seem to align with those of the magics of Dorolessa. I would advise to avoid the red if possible, the influence of it will likely cause death match level fights between those who already do not get along.

I'd wondered if those might be the association intended, but I wasn't inclined to burn myself repeatedly in order to find out if they matched the records in your library.

It is likely not too different from becoming one of the Colored Cousins was, are you alright after your encounter with the flames?

It's not going away.

Or possibly it's the distraction...

And that's probably a bad idea...

It still might be a bad idea.

I'd say "I can't believe I have to say that", but I'm probably going to be telling Naoto something similar too...

But that's a good precaution.

For all we know, the intensity of the burns could just as easily depend on how intensely you typically feel the emotions they cause.

Ah, care to help me investigate, darling? I promise I'll be the one sticking my hand in the actual flame, if burns bother you. They, ah. Bother me less than is average, so it'd be no trouble.

But if you're intending to try your luck with the flames anyway, I supose I ought to come along to observe - and keep a healing cantrip or two ready in case things go awry.
[And a few disabling spells ready, in case things go really awry.]

How good are you at taking notes? I can't do it one-handed, much less next to a flame—

[There's a trace of humour there, if a ragged one.]
