Everyone, I...I have an update on what was going on with Jules.

[There's a pause, as if she's steeling herself.]

He...he was attacked by someone named Matthew, though Jules thinks that he may have been in the mindset of his counterpart, Masshuu. That person, I presume is the one who was trying to hurt Jules with fire. There was another person who saved him before I could reach the area, but...

[A heavy silence for a few moments.]

Neither survived. I don't know who rescued him but...I am sorry to anyone who might've known either of those two men. Had I been there sooner...

[The implications are left hanging in the silent air on the Network.]

...huh. Did they disappear anywhere in particular, do you know?

[Given that Jules was apparently the main witness, she may not know. It depends on how useful his screaming was.]

I've never heard of anyone dying in Liminal Space, so if it's happened before it's been quite a while. But if they go to the trouble of reviving us on jaunts, they probably will here too.

I'm afraid I don't. Jules might know what happened to their bodies, but given how he was when I found him, it...it might be a while.

Well, it's not like they could've gone far, at least.

W-Waitasecond! Are you saying that you're just expecting them to revive and walk away? Just like that? After one of them tried to kill a fellow Traveler?

Maybe not 'just like that,' but even the places we've been whisked off to for those private conversations are still part of Liminal Space. Whether we can get to them is another question, but I bet we can at least figure out where they are. Much beyond that would be more difficult.

And how do you suggest we'd do that? It's not like we can track each other down with our minds or anything like that.

It tends to have a pretty short range, but Liminal Space isn't usually that big. I think it's how Armin-san puts his lists of people who've gone missing together. Finding dungeons works by a similar process, just from the other side of things.

If they're really gone, I'll be very surprised. If not, we can at least figure out where they are.

[She realized that she's thinking a little loudly.]

Nevermind that. Do you think that you could find them? Or Armin-san?

Find them, likely. Much more than that will depend on where they are.

That's understandable. Hopefully, they're not being held prisoner under punishment... At least, not the one who was trying to save Jules.

We'll figure something out once we do find them. I just hope that it'll be soon...
