So uh… funny thing. You guys remember how I can do that water stuff? Well, okay maybe some of you don’t know because I’ve been gone since forever and have some memory problems.

So hi newbies, I’m Percy. I’m mostly harmless and like blue things and can breathe underwater… among other things.

Anyway, I’m gonna apologize in advance for whatever shenanigans my dad’s side of the family puts us through. They’re not all that bad, really, they’re just…. well, they’re gods. They don’t really get humans all that well.

Blah blah blah, my dad’s Poseidon and that might either really help us here or turn out terribly for me depending. I can help you guys with cover stories if you end up having to use your powers or whatever out in public, demigods aren’t exactly a new thing and if you say you’re one most folks probably won’t be too upset if you break something.

Try not to break things though, it’s not nice.

I can give folks pointers on do's and don't's of ancient Greek society too, though it's mostly "don't claim to be something you're not" and in this case... "Assume everyone might be a god in disguise, even the animals because Zeus is a bit odd sometimes" and don't take sides if asked to judge something.

Uh... I guess folks can also check in here?

Hello yes this is Amanda, I'm actually myself for once - seriously, this is my third Jaunt and only my first time investigating - and I am not too proud to admit that I totally slept through most of world history in highschool so if anyone sees me fucking up too bad please feel free to kick me in the ankle and make up stories about me being a total nutcase? I'm totally taking mental notes on all this but I'm playing catchup here, is what I'm saying.

Also I just realized I... don't actually know how to make portals. That's something we're supposed to be able to do, right? Get back into Liminal to like, regroup and make supplies and stuff?

Depends, I mean ghosts are definitely a thing and if you can talk to them you might get some info about what's going on. Or you know, whatever it is you do with them.

...you might be able to wield a stygian blade if you can find one.

Yeah ok I guess this is the part where I stop disappointing my tenth grade social studies teacher and start disappointing the necromancer in my krewe, because I feel like I oughta know what "stygian" means and I don't.

This might also be a good time to mention I'm a bit haunted myself.

Some of my closest friends are Haunted, it's no big deal as far as i see it and if someone gives you crud about it.... kick 'em in the shins.

Haha yeah no, I'm mostly thinking it could turn out to be an issue if anyone local sees spirits because Roadrash'd stick out way more than I do in this time period? I mean I'm a little clueless but he's a geist of vehicular accidents. He ain't exactly... subtle. If he's visible at all, I mean.

I'm from a different world so I never learned about it, but I managed to remain myself while at the same time as acquiring an infiltrator persona this jaunt, so feel free to ask if you have any questions.

And a lot of people can make portals, and it's a very useful thing to know. But it's not something we're all supposed to be able to do or anything - I've never been able to learn, no matter how much I try. [And he's probably been a Traveler more than 4 years. Not trying to discourage her from learning, just wants to make it clear it's not her fault if she can't.]
