I also appear to be covered in scales and have tentacles in place of hair. I'd appreciate some insight, if anyone has any.

There are quite a few species I don't recognize here, but at least no Galra presence. It shouldn't take me too long to get into public networks and pull out information on at least the most common species at this station. I can get back to you with possibilities and other information if you haven't learned what you need by other means by then.

What is a Galra?

Galra are my species. I have shown up in my usual appearance this time. Galra are obsessed with conquest, so it’s a good thing there aren’t any here.

Sounds a bit like the Diabolin, though they're an ancient race, mostly still in various places trapped in cryostasis. If you don't mind my asking, what do you look like? I don't believe we've met, yet...

Most of the human Travelers fall back on describing my appearance as 'cat-like.' I'm also purple. I should be fairly hard to misidentify if you should see me.

Is the purple natural? Doesn't that make camouflage very difficult?

It is, and environments come in all kinds. In some, Galra stand out, and in others blending in is easier. Galra pride themselves on being the strongest regardless of blending in or not. It’s not a trait I’m particularly proud of, as a Galra.

There are many Galra that do not, but few who are able to do anything about it. The Empire was meant to bring stability, order, and peace. Instead it brought Galra ravaging planets for their resources, enslavement, and other general tyranny.

I'm glad for that, but I'll admit a moment of worry when I arrived. No one needs to deal with the Galra Empire.

I'll manage; once I find out the actual details of this place, my past experience should prove useful to the Travelers.

Same here. We both come from space. Slightly less fancy space in my case, but still, space. Though since I've got all of this idiot kid's brain in here, with me, I've got more localized knowledge, too.

Perhaps someday we can compare worlds. Broadening horizons can’t hurt our chances of recognizing things should we ever end up somewhere… familiar.

There ain't a lot of rules on the space station. Just the standard ones-- don't steal shit, don't start fights, don't finish 'em by killing anybody. I'd add in don't fuck with anybody with horns and grey skin, we can be touchy and we can tell what you're feeling to some extent. And don't touch a gorgon's tentacles, they get pissy about it.

As for my universe, that's more complicated.

Nah, when you're basically a big melting pot of aliens, you get less uptight about shit like that. The ones I mentioned before are the big ones to watch out for. Hecatites I guess ain't big on being touchy-feely, but I don't really see you tryin' to give any a hug.
