The people who look like that are called Gorgons, although I don't know very much about them. The rock people are Hecatites, and the ones that look like... demons... are called Diabolin. Diabolin hallucinate a lot, and I don't think they sleep - at least, Jules didn't when he was one. There are also Synthetics, who are artificial somehow? And humans.

This seems like it's the same... I'm not sure what to call it; it's not a world because there are a lot of those here. If you were here for the Jaunt in space last time, it's that place.

I don't know how common Gorgon-Hecatites are specifically, but there were hybrid people on the Empress. Riva called it... some kind of experimental therapy, I think? It was a while ago, so I don't remember the exact term. But they do exist.

Sounds as if you might be a Hecatite. Try growing some crystals - it requires some concentration, but it's a useful skill to have.
