Arcana-talk time [A day or two into the new liminal]
We're still assuming that the liminal space before a Jaunt represents the Arcana competing in it, yes? I know someone's mentioned this earlier, but it definitely needs to be highlighted-- I think it's pretty obvious this time that the contest will be between Chariot and Tower. The giant wooden horse running through a thunderstorm really couldn't be more blatant. For once.
[He's not great at understanding symbolism, but damn if this wasn't an easy one.]
So if that's right, it'll be a contest of motion and persistence, versus dramatic change and catastrophe. I think it's easy enough to decide who we want to support, in this case. We'll just have to find ways to make sure we see what sort of conditions make for a win for each ideal.
Any ideas for what to look for and how to keep things from devolving into a catastrophe? Those seem to happen a lot when we're around, unfortunately.

Though I will say that I don't think just because an Arcana loses, he or she is gone from the equation or completely loses power over the universe. Those balances will still be there-- look at the universe now. Fortuna was the winner last time, I believe I heard? Which means the universe is governed by chance, now-- but that doesn't mean there isn't some Justice, some Deception, some Death, and some Forgiveness out in the worlds, as well.

That's true, but when one is increased, the others end up diminished in comparison; it's still not balanced. I would be wary of a universe where Emperor had won singly for that very fact. I've seen too much of the terrible side of order, authority and status quo.

Last time we all sat out on a Jaunt, decided not to play along, we got dumped into Moebius next turn. To teach us a lesson. You really wanna try that again?

I didn’t mean to present it as a suggestion of a good way to handle being sent to worlds in the first place, but thank you for pointing out a more direct consequence to such actions.
