Arcana-talk time [A day or two into the new liminal]

We're still assuming that the liminal space before a Jaunt represents the Arcana competing in it, yes? I know someone's mentioned this earlier, but it definitely needs to be highlighted-- I think it's pretty obvious this time that the contest will be between Chariot and Tower. The giant wooden horse running through a thunderstorm really couldn't be more blatant. For once.

[He's not great at understanding symbolism, but damn if this wasn't an easy one.]

So if that's right, it'll be a contest of motion and persistence, versus dramatic change and catastrophe. I think it's easy enough to decide who we want to support, in this case. We'll just have to find ways to make sure we see what sort of conditions make for a win for each ideal.

Any ideas for what to look for and how to keep things from devolving into a catastrophe? Those seem to happen a lot when we're around, unfortunately.

I dislike being meddled with by those more powerful than me yet again. It's even worse that much of my abilities've been taken away. Even the Queen never really did that. But there's nothing I can do about it other than look for an opportunity of some sort. However long it'll take for one to appear.

And I've been around for a long time. I definitely remember when the Trojan War was a thing, though it was nothing like the stories about it. Humans like to make things up. That's one of the things that make them so interesting.

I take it, then, that you aren't human. You're in good company; many of us aren't actually human, here, either. I'm a werewolf, myself, though I promise I'm not actually dangerous.

You don't view yourself as human and you don't sound particularly bothered by that, so either you were born as a werewolf or you've gotten quite used to it.

[professorwolf]

I was born human. But I'm different enough now, and in enough dfifferent ways, that considering myself human is only going to cause problems. I like to be up front about what I am.

So it's the latter. You've accepted what you've become to the point where it's become your new identity.
