Now that I can have everyone's attention, a little good news.
Since Jules and I both needed the occasional break from the Bronze Age, I'm proud to announce Liminal Intranet is now up and running. Even I'm not good enough to hook it up to proper Internet, as that would involve punching dimensional holes that are probably beyond our reach, but it should at least be a boon to Project Infopool.
Servers are in my rooms, so they won't be going anywhere even if I do. You'll have to provide your own computers, though.

I am the librarian, Claudia. It... feels a little like a competition. There are also people who do not have the capacity to interface the wiff-ees.

We need more ways for people to get info than books. I think Chie absorbed more of our mid-jaunt research session than I did and I was the one doing the reading - she just sat there and listened and doodled. Books are great, but more options means more people actually learning shit.
[And that's something else he wants, right?]

[He's trying this whole actually articulating his feelings thing thing okay. It's hard.]
Does the intranet read the data aloud for people? If they are still reading then why is it any different than a book?

It could, if someone recorded it or worked out a text-reader. And if they're still reading, this opens up a lot more presentation formats than books.
