Now that I can have everyone's attention, a little good news.
Since Jules and I both needed the occasional break from the Bronze Age, I'm proud to announce Liminal Intranet is now up and running. Even I'm not good enough to hook it up to proper Internet, as that would involve punching dimensional holes that are probably beyond our reach, but it should at least be a boon to Project Infopool.
Servers are in my rooms, so they won't be going anywhere even if I do. You'll have to provide your own computers, though.

The way I see it, there's nothing wrong with having something familiar, especially when it's a good backup for sharing info on jaunt places.

Except for the fact it might be as compromised as the network might be. Given we're in their space.

Have you ever been forced to sympathize with the people who are oppressing you? Like full-on being made to love someone who is using you?
I have. This is not it.
For all the bullshit the Arcana have done, at least they've never compelled me to feel anything about them.

Talked about that with the horse. Depends on the Arcana, I think? It doesn't go spyin' at least. Sounds to me like they mostly just pay attention when we're ... doing shit that relates to whoever's idiom.
...what's Stockholm syndrome? We ain't been to ... whatever country that is, it's one of the north Europe ones, right?

Aaaaand cue a mental sigh, though it's not directed at Kanji.] No, we haven't been to Sweden, good geography job there. It's... a term for a thing that happens sometimes when people are kidnapped. They start sympathising with their captors.
On a human-to-human level it is absolutely fucked up. On this level, I'm not about to wade into whether it applies, because the people who think it does will insist that the presence of people who think it doesn't makes them right, and those of us who don't mind or don't care have our reasons for not minding or caring.

I'd rather see more effort being put into finding a way home than playing around in clubs or with...whatever godsforsaken thing a computer is.
But speaking of book club, meet me in the library when you have a moment.
[Because in between his moping and conflicting leftover feelings from his overlay he's at least been trying to be productive.]

There are a few things I think effort should be put into.
[ The library. Alright, he'll bite. ]
Yeah. Sure.

Maybe if we yell loud enough people will actually take it to consideration. Seems to be how they operate around here.
[Sarcasm, what sarcasm.]

Do you ever pay attention to the people shouting for attention?

[He should write Christmas Crackers.]

My thoughts exactly. Call me paranoid, but that's only asking for trouble further down the line.
no subject
Oh, I wouldn't call it paranoia. Scared is good. Scared is rational. Without that sense of self-preservation, well, it'd be a lot harder to stay alive.

For all that people seem to be adept at manipulating this place, we still know almost nothing about what it really is or the true nature of those behind it. [Which is why he's spending increasingly more time in the library as of late, on the miracle off chance he can find something.]
