Some Important Follow-Up

Excuse me. If everyone who went to Santa Carlita has a moment?

[Dakki pauses briefly to give people a chance to pay attention. That's how this is done, right?]

I've followed up with Tachibana, and it turns out that he put a tracking device on something that belonged to me. It's gone now, but apparently, the agents are now on the lookout for interdimensional aliens, not just ones from other planets.

I should have been more cautious. I'm sorry. Could the other agents confirm if they've planted anything, too, before I go and get everyone shaking themselves down for bugs?

...and that said, now that we're all back to ourselves, I'm very curious... did the 'aliens' pose any actual threat? What was that all even about? I'm not impressed with a government whose first reaction to extraterrestrial life is to panic and try to lock it up. That can't be the entire story, can it?

Keep in mind, any tracking tags would have had to have been placed by an agent. I don't think you were on their radar for most of the jaunt? And I didn't see you around at all after the breakout...

I would be very glad for some lessons on blending in! I did the best I could this time around, but it simply wasn't good enough.

I was in the agent's fortress during the breakout. I have to consider the possibility that even a guard might have been able to place one. I do not know what these devices look like, but it seems like they are very small and hard to notice. I will have to wait until someone who knows what they look like examines my things.

It does not help that half of us Infiltrate or are in another world, unavailable for lessons. For now, in Liminal, all I can do is wait until we have solid ground again. Then I can give a lesson in walking silently to start.

The ones my overlay had access to were thin and flat. About an inch square, looking like a sticker for a band or something similar.

How many centimeters is an inch?

...This will take a while. I bought a large amount of recorded music and other things. I was not noticed, as far as I could tell, but I take no chances.

And if they ever wish to find the man who entered their fortress for a 'job interview,' he has mysteriously disappeared, of course. I am noting it in my Jaunt report.

And unless it was handled by an agent after you picked it up, it's not likely to be tracked. With Dakki... my overlay bought her a pair of headphones. Since he was holding them, he was able to put the tracker on them.

Since I did not see anyone looking at me in suspicion, either I was not noticed, or I was noticed at a time I am not aware of. I have to look at everything I've purchased.

[ At the very least, from the time he and Xena decided it would be a great idea to catch the bus by leaping on top of it. ]

I sort my notes into codices and place them in the Workshop's library. They will be filed with the Jaunt information.

[[It sounds a bit like overkill, but Tachibana is at least self aware enough to know that he's not exactly the best judge of what's necessary or not with this sort of thing.]]

All the more reason that we should start in on it before we all end up split up again. There is solid ground in created rooms, right? Maybe a few of us can pool together and make enough space to start working at it sooner.

I cannot make a room. Perhaps tomorrow, when some of us have not already gone through the limit of how much one can create in a day. Until then, I will be in the Workshop today. Anyone is welcome to try to sneak up on me and tap my left shoulder.

That seems reasonable. And to give us some time to rest up and compose ourselves, too.

And I'll have to give that challenge a try for myself!
