do you believe in magic [cw: truthiness]

Hey folks, Ambrose here. I know the other day Elphaba was asking after magic users to learn stuff from, but I was wondering... does anyone else want to learn magic? Who's willing to teach it? Maybe we should get together and do a big ol'... workshop? Exhibition? One of those things.

[ look he's been in the champagne a bit, it happens. ]

Basically everyone who is okay with teaching their particular stripe of magic can show what it's capable of, and anyone who wants to learn can shop around. We did this once a while ago, sorta, but I think it's time we do it again.

I've already rearranged the classroom to be suitable for magical experimentation.

I'm down, but expect a large part of it to be "here is what never to do." My world be Harrowgatey yo.

Ahaha well, I love the opportunity to teach magic. My own personal specialty appears to be indistinguishable from Liminal skills, but I'm happy to teach those, as well as Yellow Magic and its adjacent colors on the spectrum. There's a few other specific skills I've picked up...hm...maybe I should make a sign.

I haven't picked up any in particular, other than some pre-existing skills that are quite like magic. [Hear that audible wink, darling?]

I imagine it would be terribly useful to learn a few things, though.

...If we ever need it, most what I know beyond maths and chucking fire from an app is protection from the big nasties. I'm... unusually happy to teach that.

(Right. It's still raw. That's a thing to apologize for later.)

I can teach Rose if we're doing a color magic section. As far as I know I'm the only practitioner in Liminal right now.

I'm down. I'm not a goddamn Tremere, so I can't really teach my world's particular magic, but I know some color magic and some of Bea's magic.

My specialty is transfiguration, but I'm well versed in a wide range of charms and potions as well.

A lot of people know Color spells, but I'm not sure who would be best for an overview. My Overlay had experience specifically as a teacher, but others have actually been in the same body as the Illuminants...consider me a volunteer, but I'll yield to anyone who thinks they'd give a better overview.

Mia was a Tremere, right? Fuck those guys.

Yep. Also vampire Phillip--the guy in my coterie who always talked to inanimate objects and wasn't such a bad guy for a vampire--but he was totally an outlier and should not be counted.

Fuck the Tremere, man. They're not even properly descended from Caine. They're a bunch of jumped up mages who, like, magicked their asses into being vampires back in the middle ages.

Normally, I applaud all attempts at using magic to break the barriers of one's existence and ascend beyond what you're normally capable of, but in this particular case even I have to ask "why?"

Oh, uh, probably not that Cain? Unless you're talking about the dude who killed the fuck out of his brother Abel and then fucked off to the land of Nod.

Shit dude, this sounds awesome.

I'm like ninety percent sure the kind of magic I use isn't actually teachable, but since I've spent like the last week explaining how Changelings work to people I might rock up for some 101-ing anyhow.

... y'know what, count me in.

[Partly because he suspects that Maria will end up there and even if Beatrice is already around it'd probably pay to keep an eye on whatever she's up to.]

Gonna be all sorts of stuff, right?

Sounds like adolescence. I'm quite sure I can manage, with my rather recent experience.
