Welcome back, everyone. Usually there's no dangers in Liminal Space, but this one might be different - has anyone checked to see if we can breathe the water, or if we need to breathe at all? Does anyone else have any ideas about the symbolism?

More importantly, I see some blood on the tiles by the biggest waterslide - is anyone injured?

... How did things end for you, in the Jaunt?

They've been signs of our success - or failure - in the past.

When we were supposed to help a couple kids elope, there was a wedding cake in Liminal Space after we succeeded. Shit like that.

I wouldn't try breathing the water. It didn't seem to work... but I guess I wasn't expecting it to, either. [To put it lightly.] I suppose it might work if you think it will, but I'm not going to try it.

Although, what does a slime golem look like?

I think it is meant to be a kinder version of the corpse-city of R'lyeh, as... "kind" as this version is. But it is rather strange, since... well, R'lyeh is the home of Cthulhu, not Ha-- er, th-the King in Yellow. He is most associated with Carcosa.

But what does all of that mean?

[To someone who's not up on his Lovecraft, even Cthulhu just sounds like alphabet soup.]

It could be meant to indicate an alliance. We don't know why we're given the tasks we are.

Or perhaps evoking something so close-tied to the Unnameable when we've only just escaped His reach would simply be too likely to draw unwanted attention.

[Alcuin is suspiciously silent, for the amount of talking he did last Jaunt. Anyone may try to reach him but while he doesn't have psychic protection, he is shut off as much as possible. It will take persistence to get him to respond.]

I will likely have some thoughts on symbolism when I am slightly less shaky.

The only thing I can come up with at the moment is that the Trumps are wishing us to be more active? I am not fond of either the theory or the thought, however, it is likely we did not completely fail what we were intended to do.

If I can find a way without hurting the people we visit, I'm about ready to oppose the Trumps' plans directly. I'm tired of this.

I missed that. But it might be; a place like this is like a specialized park.

It... ended as well as I could have hoped. Considering what happened. I don't think I'll try acting again though. [By which she means she got possessed by an Old One and then died because that was about the only way to get a victory at that point, narrow as it was.]

There aren't a lot of Jaunts like that, are there?
