Okay, my name is *Hyun-ae, it's nice to meet everyone! The * is silend, it just means that I'm an AI. This is my first Jaunt AND my first time on Earth, so I have to be honest: I'm VERY confused. I've been doing okay so far just sort of being a tourist and learning to make portals (thanks, Malin!), but I'm not really sure how much longer it's okay for me to do that.

Issue 1: What should I be doing right now? The descriptions I got from other people of what Jaunts are usually like left me expecting some kind of disaster, but as far as I can tell, it's basically just been a cool festival! Am I missing something, or should I just enjoy myself until everything starts exploding or whatever?

Issue 2: How can I tell who's from Liminal Space? I've been able to spot a person or two who I already knew, but beyond that, I have basically no way of telling who's a local and who's part of our group. I might have even talked to some of you without noticing it. It feels kind of lonely.

Issue 3: This is a stupid question because I spent my entire life on a spaceship, but what's the name of... geeze, I don't even know how to describe this one. The bottom deck? The insanely broad flat area that almost everything is on. I guess the outer surface of the planet? What's the word for that? Update: It was 'ground'. It's called the ground.

First off, your questions.

So... The Forest Folk have been planning on revealing themselves to the public. Between the worries about that, the magical curses on the Forestfolk and the Stonefolk, and the amulet, the two big concerns are:

One, figure out how to make the reveal peaceful and prevent a war or a shouting match from ruining it, and make sure it's believed and not brushed off.

Two, figure out what the ritual to join the amulet is, so that we do it properly - which sounds like more your thing since you said you were a historian?

As for the 'lower deck' that's the ground and wow tell me about the spaceship sometime that sounds awesome.

(The outlook on organized, armed violence is a little different when you live in a community of thousands that has absolutely no way to reach out beyond its own borders. Martial law was declared once like seven hundred years ago and basically nothing since.)

Probably less people in this world than elsewhere, because this place is like a faerie tale or a kid's cartoon, but it might still get bad.

...how big was your spaceship? How many people? It wasn't a battleship or anything, just like a civilian thing? We managed to have wars back home between like thirty fighters on each side, but my world is kind of messed up.

It was a generation ship, intended to eventually set up a colony on another planet. There were a few thousand people on board, I guess, but when you have to keep a stable population alive on the ship for thousands of years...

Stuff breaks. That's a long time to keep a ship flying and a lot of people, wow.

Ahahaha, not all of them are disasters! Or I guess, they're all varying levels of disasters? This one doesn't seem like it's going to explode, ahahaha.

And, if you see someone you recognize you can always try to think a message at them. If they're infiltrating they won't recognize you anyway, and if they aren't, they'll be able to message you back. The network's pretty convenient that way.

That's... actually really clever! I hadn't thought of that at all. Also, it's really encouraging to hear that I might just be overthinking things, so thanks for that, too.

Oh, I'm new as well! We could probably help each other out by exchanging some of the things we've already picked up, right? [ Especially since Inigo still feels a little lost in some ways as well, despite his cheeriness. ]

So far I've seen the second thing being handled by people generally sending quick psychic messages to each other when meeting.. people did that with me, at least! It's an easy way to tell they are one of us once they reply.

I got the same advice! I mean, it's a good way to tell if one specific person is one of us, but still doesn't really let you spot them in a crowd...

People did mention before that I must not have experienced this.. "Modern day Earth", so I suppose it might be a different place?

I guess so, I've never heard of Ylisse. The 'modern' Earth people talk about here seems to be a long, long way into the past compared to what I'm used to, but I still really like it here.

Sometimes it takes a while for stuffs to happen on Jaunts. Sometimes the first and even second week isn't so bad, but usually something weird or bad or both happens by the second or third week.

I think there's things you can do to find Travelers, but I dunno how. I know how to find their dungeons, but not on the Jaunts. Uu. This is hard. You should ask someone who's good at the Network. I'm not.

Sometimes people get lost inside their heads and liminal space makes a place for them to be lost for real in! Those are called dungeons! When we find them, we get them out.

That sounds... pretty creepy, actually. How do you end up in something like that?

There's tricks to being able to tell where a particular person is, and you can always try sending a psychic message just to them. You don't even need to practice that, although if you do you can make it more secure.

Right now Armin and I working on being able to tell where everyone else who's Traveling is at once, but that might end up being pretty complicated...
