Good - good day, I suppose, everyone? I presume we were successful, by ... someone's criteria?

I have a couple of things to ask of people, however, now everyone is back to themselves. Just some small favours.
Firstly, can anyone tell me where it might be possible for me to charge a cellphone? Even if I'm hardly going to be using it for calls or messages, I'd like to have the apps available.

And secondly. Something ... kept coming up during discussions over the Jaunt that had me curious.

What's a "Disney"?

Disney is a general term of a lot of cool animated films and tv shows. The company makes a lot of other stuff too, like live action musicals.

You know, I could swear one of the Liminal's had songs from the Goofy Movie... so it's not the first time we have Disney things even.

If they are that prolific in certain worlds, I suppose that I'm not surprised. It would make an impact in people's minds, and if Liminal Space is connected to our cognition... well.

There are surprisingly many words out there that have Disney in common. I figured there's be less those who knew about it and more those who don't.

Disney made kids shows and movies before the war in my world. Usually ones about talking animals, which is. Probably why this came up.

You can plug in stuff in some of the rooms. Otherwise? You're gonna have to figure out how to shape electricity here, or find someone who does.

And - ah, I see. I doubt I'll be doing anything with electricity soon, but I'll keep my eyes open.

I'm still not even sure who was competing, but we definitely did what it looked like we were supposed to do, so...good job us?

And I think they're an animation studio in other worlds. They might do theme parks too? People've definitely talked about something like Destinyland without calling it that, so I think there's a connection.

Ah, I see. And I was ... rather reminded of Destinyland, yes. [She pauses.] Especially during the past couple of weeks.

I think that's because the Amulet ceremony worked. Other than the lady who had the thing going nuts I don't think anything bad actually happened that, so that's what I'm choosing to call "winning".

...I am sure Disney's output has reached Japan, so this must be down to a world difference. You guys have a ginormous American animation empire to speak of? Runs theme parks, occasionally dabbles in live-action, overabundance of cute animals and sappy musical numbers?

I'm afraid I couldn't list what sort of animation companies exist in our America. I know there are a few, and I've certainly seen the sort of films you're talking about...

Fair enough. Probably better for your timeline's copyright laws if there's nothing on the same scale - Disney's pushed the time until something enters the public domain to a fuck-off-stupid time after the creator dies just so they can keep their hands on their mascot.

You could compare them to the mirrors in the Jaunt's world, I suppose. Does that help at all?

But after hearing the name mentioned so frequently over the Jaunt... it was starting to feel like it was some sort of ... universal certainty.

Well, rest assured that you aren't the only one missing out on something! There always ought to be a few worlds out there that aren't accustomed to some specific matter. I shall stand by you as a fellow Disney ignorant!

Did you get an answer for this? People were talking about it near the end of the Jaunt but I had no idea what it was about.

A famous animation and film production company, I believe? We had some similar in my world, but not that one in particular. Did yours have anything like that?

Oh, yeah! I used to love cartoons when I was younger. I've never heard of Disney, but that could be either a different dimensions thing or a time travel thing...
