I feel so offended by my overlay. I was Wulfenite in the Space Mall and there he got Chie arrested and Jules almost too, but now he was a dreamer too and wow can that guy get shittier? That freaking bastard.

I even kept his Hecatite form. How can I be a rock without being reminded of him and his crappy antics?


More importantly, I can't get a hold of Souji. Has anyone seen him after the Jaunt? Is he... out of the ambit? I can't sense people yet, so...

You can do that through the network somehow, right? Like, uh... detecting someone?

Right so...the easiest way to detect a person is just to kind of ask for them with your brain. If they're close enough, you can find them, and it's basically like calling them over the network. I didn't think about it that way since I was used to how Himiko does it, but if you're starting from scratch that's probably easier to understand.

Detecting a Portal, which is what you're doing when you're looking for a Dungeon, is another story. You need to know a little bit about Portals first, for one thing. Do you know how to make your own?

Basically, I need to make an inquiry but leave out the part where I sent them a message? I think I would be able to do that... I've tried all kinds of things through the network by this point, after all.

I can do that, yeah. I'm not a Liminal expert, but at least I've learned that.

Okay, so you know how making a Portal is like making a hole in nothing that you can walk through? Looking for portals is like feeling around for the holes and wow this was the wrong train of thought to get started on to explain this seriously.

Anyway, though, once you've made something, you know what it's like. It's just a matter of learning to look around for it. It might help to practice with other Liminal stuff first too. It's kind of like singing, I guess? The more you do it the more details and nuances you can pick out from music.

Right. I still have a lot to learn about Liminal stuff in general, so practice will do me good anyway.
