Jolly good. [Tick-Tock's tone is pleased, and he looks around at the paths, finding the most direct route possible, though it will take them a bit.] Have you seen anything other than human-ish children down there?

He's going to follow Tick-Tock, finding comfort in this pack excursion. No matter if this brings results, it at least helps with the re-bonding in the face of such an important uniting factor being gone.]

[And it's something the older man will keep up over the next weeks, until they're all separated again - while he may not really get the need to keep connected intellectually, it's something he apparently understands on an emotional level. Perhaps because Lyall has been an anchoring force for himself.

He's relatively quiet as they make their way to the jumping off point, and once they get there he sniffs around for a bit, checks out the slope, judges the grade and how hard it might be for a wolf cub to jump back up.]

If you do revert to a pup, will using the network frighten you? I've had experience communicating with all of you without words, but not a child.

I don't know.

[That's the simple truth of it.] It never happened to me as a cub, but it's not something I witnessed humans do as a cub, either. [So no positive or negative associations, at least.]

[After another moment of surveying the area, he just goeas ahead and jumps down.

And promptly turns into a most adorable and very confused little cub.

Who, once he's scrambled back to his feet, looks around with a curious but scared stance. Where is he...?]

[Tick-Tock makes a gentle bark, drawing the cub's attention upward, his body language relaxed and friendly, ears and tail up. ... Bob is amazingly cute like this, though.]

[The wolf is a stranger, but... not. He doesn't feel like a stranger. He feels like mom and dad.

The cub whines in confusion and comes over towards Tick-Tock, not yet climbing the walkway but definitely moving into the right direction. What is going on, why does this person feel like mom and dad, where is he and where is everyone?]

[The older wolf's posture indicates easy dominance, clearly an alpha stance, stiff legged and tail raised. However, as the cub approaches, he relaxes his stance a little, and lets out a soft, comforting whine, encouraging Laughs to come up to him. He's not quite ready to try the psychic network, for fear of frightening the little wolf - Laughs is clearly disoriented and confused, and that would likely just make things worse.]

[The cub comes closer still and leans up a bit, two paws leaning against the walkway, to sniff at it.

He doesn't think that he's encountered a material like this ever before ...nor the material that he is standing on currently, or anything around them. But the other wolf stands securely on it, and right now, he's the only thing here that makes sense.

So after a moment, he starts to try and scramble up on the walkway.]
