So, about that color scheme.

Thing one, it's been a while since I did a lightcycle pitch, so: Anyone want a shiny light-up bikebaton to call their own before we looks-like head back to the Grid? First three takers, I still wanna eat and sleep this Liminal. If it is the Grid there'll probably be plenty of the things around, and if not, you have a cool fold-up bike.

Thing two, if anyone wants some Grid 101 I'll do my best, but since I think the only more Arcanapalooza jaunt we've had was whatever the hell they were all doing in Questing Country... it's a bit of a trip. Also my overlay managed to miss most of the action, so I'd be up for other people filling the gaps.

Thing three... by process of elimination Mei's almost certainly up this round, and I'd at least like to know what the crap's going on. In the quite likely event I end up not myself, could someone do me a solid and de-infiltrate me? [She knows this is hard to arrange beforehand, but she'd rather try - then it's at least out there that she wants the thing done.]

he still automatically smiles every time she calls him Uncle

...Right. This is going to be a trip, isn't it. Maybe I'll infiltrate and we won't have to worry about it.

[He's not counting on it.]

Do all people there go by neutral pronouns? Or was Shiro special? Other than being you, obviously.

I suspect it's a comfort-zone thing. He's used to being a lone operative out against everyone else with only a few trustworthy associates. I don't know a lot about his history, but I got that much. Having a well-defined cause to fight for that he truly believed in - no matter how misguided that belief was - helped a lot as well. I think he's feeling very adrift. ...Or was. I'm not sure if I can speak to that now.

awwwww.

SHIRO did die at the end of the Jaunt, so it is possible that its legacy has either changed or is gone. However, with the yellow roses, it would seem that they are around in some way or another.

And no, it was just SHIRO. It believed that gender was illogical and augmented its own code to remove any gender markings.

Yeah. Oh, yeah. Yes it can. Getting him to open up is like trying to use a needle to open a coconut. It's ridiculous.

...But honestly, if the last time he got "let's go steal pants", I can't say I blame him. Seriously? Pants? Was there a Pants Protectorate they needed to unsettle or something?

[Sudden pause. Ohhhh he does not like that. Nope. Not at all.]

....Are you all right?

Godeffin’dammit.

Okay so: the obvious wincon probably involves letting the Momtron take care of things. Picking out ROSE’s solution is going to be a blossom of another name.

I didn't mean to impugn your abilities, of course. I know both of you are responsible for computers even existing here. But an individual computer and a network or internet seem to be two different things, and I assumed the latter was your specialty.

I can do it if Thorne's not available.

And provide backup on lightcycle making if there are more people interested than you can handle.

Zed. [Siiiiigh.] The more I hear about this guy the less I'm inclined to like him or trust him. Knowing more about Islamic religion and Muslim culture would have been a big help if anyone had listened. Does anyone here know how to work as a team?

[He's not even annoyed so much as tired.]

Yeah. Thaaaat went well. The Travelers aren't much for organization, are they.

That don't make a lick'a sense, but I'm guessin' it'll make sense when we get there.
tonant: (Take your mind back)

Well, yeah.

Duh. If they ain't people, they ain't AIs, they're just- programs and shit.

Think we could get anywhere by trying to get some organization done? Finding out what sorts of skills people have, introducing them to one another, seeing if we can group people in teams that can work together? Or is that too much to ask.

Shenanigans are always gonna happen. The question is, are they shenanigans that make the Arcana cry foul, or just us?
