[About a day before the Jaunt starts]

There's something I've been thinking about since the Walkabout. The gear Brockengard's Hunters used to bring down their prey is almost exactly the same as the gear used to fight Titans in the world I'm from. I know that's probably a coincidence, but I still ended up comparing the two worlds. Except in Brockengard, humans have already been wiped out. And the "extinct animals" were definitely humans. I was there when the skeletons were found and saw them myself.

But even though there are no more humans in that world, there are still people there. A lot of small animals started becoming intelligent around the same time the last humans died. I keep wondering... Did the animals start becoming intelligent because the humans were gone? And if they did, is that something that could happen in other worlds too? If all the people of a world die out, but there's still life there, is it normal for a new kind of people to appear to take their place?

[Despite the melancholy subject, Eren's mental voice sounds almost hopeful.]

Ribbit [backdated to the very first day of the cloud liminal]

I don't know why I don't expect these by now... For those who are newer to this, there was an earlier Jaunt that left a number of us with a tendency towards prophetic dreams and/or nightmares. Most often, they concern the Jaunt we're either on or about to be sent on in some way, although not always.

This particular dream featured a demonic frog squatting on a beach. It opened its mouth to let the ocean rush in, which caused the frog to grow progressively larger until all anyone could see was the swollen, stretched out frog. The frog eventually exploded, which in turn sent the ocean waters exploding everywhere, at which point the dream ended.

It's... very mythical, if nothing else.
