A Very Useful vision (no it's not)

Had a' nightmare just before, one a' those visions a' the future kind.

Only there weren't nothin' to it. Couldn't see nothin' through some goddamn blizzard, but I could hear cattle nearby.

An' that was it.

[And he sounds vaguely offended. How dare he get traumatised for such a useless vision.]

's'makin' me wonder if we're gonna be dealin' with those cows personally, though.

Frankly I'm more concerned 'bout how many folks here know how t'drive cattle. I reckon I can keep up a hurricane big enough t'keep a solid chunk a' the snow back, but it ain't gonna do much good if the herd goes sideways.

It's somethin' a few 'f us picked up a couple jaunts back. Horrifyin' visions a' the future that don't necessarily gotta make sense 'til after the fact. An' that's dependin' on if they're even a thing that's literally gonna happen.

It doesn't exactly sound pleasant to deal with for such a poor payoff.

How does one get into the wrangling business, anyway? And this does make the presence of horses a... little more on-the-nose, if true.

An' I grew up in it, personally, but long as y'can pick up the tricks fast enough, I don't doubt many places're too opposed t'the extra hands.

...course, all this don't mean nothin' if that ain't where we're even goin'.

Mine involved me being interrogated for the theft of some item or other and then being kicked hard in the stomach.

[He suspects this was possibly one of the better places for the dream to leave off. Still unpleasant, though.]

I had a dream that felt like one of those visions of unfortunate futures as well--but I find it almost indescribable to relay. I could hear Jules screaming. That is the only part that makes sense.

Otherwise, I was somewhere that glowed with ever-flowing patterns in many bright colors, many of which I have only seen on Alcuin's leggings. Brightly colored small discs of the very strong paper-like material called cardboard rained down around me. There were strange lanterns around me that also had the discs inside them.

Well, yer coloured discs there sound like somethin' called confetti - 's'kind of a decorative thing, people throw it at celebrations an' such t'spread a bit a' colour an' joy.




...but that sure as hell don't match anythin' else we done seen so far. [he can't see confetti lanterns fitting into the wild west.] Might mean we got a walkabout happenin' too.
