Okay. So. We're gonna have a special guest or two on the network in just a sec, but before that I want to play a conversation I had a little bit ago. For those of you who saw it when I showed people on Naoki's bridge, I'm sorry you have to see it again, but I know he couldn't bring everyone on back then, so it's better I play it one more time. I filtered out the smell impressions for this stream. You're welcome.

Anyway! I've just put one of the Beastfolk on the line for everyone--and I've coordinated with Naoki too, so that he'll be putting another one on at the same time. I think I've got enough brain juice to give him roughly a half-hour with us, so use your time wisely? Naoki might be able to give his a little longer.

So yeah. Everyone chime in while they're still on and we'll see where we should go from here.

Don't worry, I'm used to that. And I'm resistant to poison too, so it's not like they can do that. It means I also can't get drunk, but eh. ... Though do you have any ideas on how they'll try to break you? If we can thwart it in a dramatic way they might have to show it for the drama and give people hope.

... Strange. I had a vision with a number of people, dead, with holes in the back of their necks. Does that bring up anything?

The plot is for me to form relationships, get close to others... and then have them painfully taken away from me with no break from grief and trauma. Illness and accidents happening to me are also possible, but with the seizures, those are less likely.

[Uncomfortably:] Kill-drones. The toxins and memory wipes are administered into the cervical spine. If by some miracle the toxins don't cause immediate death, the person won't even remember how to turn their head so they don't suffocate afterward.

Bloody hell.

My food can fight toxins, but not memory wipes or damage to the spine. And even if it could, I don't know how many people I can affect with my food boosts.

They've done it before, and will do it again, given a chance. That's why it's so important to gain control of the hub.

But fighting the toxins is a start. If Humansona can reverse the memory wipes, we can hopefully restore people, but nothing can help someone who's already dead.

Again, agreed. Especially since they can just shut off the atmosphere even if we prevent the kill-drones from coming out.

Indeed. Fighting toxins is a good start, and everything else can hopefully be reversed by technology here.

These people are... good. I want them to live.

They are less likely to do that. It could take moths to return the area to livable after that kind of hub failure, intentional or not. They would want to start over as soon as possible.

But if pressed, then yes, they could indeed open Home up to the rest of the planet's toxic atmosphere.

[His voice goes soft.]

They are; I'm ready to make whatever sacrifice necessary to save them so they can finally live free.

I'm already dying. The seizures are only a symptom; but I've come too far to hold back now, just because it risks my life.

I didn't say hold back. I'll be there to prop you up if you need it.

As am I. Although, unlike yours, our deaths are not permanent. Travelers come back. ... but we still can traumatize ourselves and those closest, so best to avoid it.

I can imagine. I'll do what I can to avoid harm.

We're probably out of here in another few weeks, win or lose, but I imagine they have something more dramatic planned. We'll all see what we can do with the seizures or illness... for accidents, you can stick close to me and we can try to play it up.

... Great. I can't do shit against memory wipes, but at least the toxin won't do anything...

They do, almost certainly. But I can stick close to you. If you're quick at memorizing, we may be able to work out a code to pass messages without the producers knowledge, in spite of the cameras.

We'll be careful. I don't want anyone harmed, if at all possible.

I'm usually pretty quick when I put my mind to it. As long as it's not math.

I should be able to help with those if we cannot take control of them, though 'tis only a temporary measure. As the Champion of Shields I could place a shield on those of Home, invisible until that person is attacked at which point the shield becomes rather flashy.

Though if we've reached a point where these kill-drones are deployed then I think we can safely say the time for subtlety is over.

That's true. Protecting the folk from retaliation will be more important than subtlety if it gets that far. Do the shields only protect against objects, or could they be tailored to protect from toxic gases too?

Hmm... The individual shield would slow the gas down by a very small amount, I would need everyone behind my main shield to offer better protection against a gas and even then that shall not last forever.

If it should come to that, slowing things down is better than nothing. Short of hundreds of environmental suits, there isn't much else we could do if the hub should be compromised or destroyed.

Aye, though for the shielding to be most effective then, whatever happens, I should remain in Home. If I leave I cannot refresh them.

I wonder if it is possible to create a handful of environmental suits for those who can protect others. One for everyone, especially since folk can be so different in size and shape, might be too much, but a few could be possible if they can be made.

Thorn says some of you can make matter. Can you make whole suits in addition to compounds?
