-=the only reason that prompto isn't immediately skewered is the fact that prompto is the oracle of machines, and is intimately aware of the location and movements of each an every mech in his general vicinity. further, technically, but he's hyper focused on the ones that are actively trying to kill him.

so his response is immediate, perhaps seeming as though his shield moved sooner than it should have. his movements are not skilled, awkward and desperate but frustratingly effective. because he's a big fat cheater is what he is, but it'll only save him for so long=-
