[Jaunt] [Week 2 Start] Prompto makes the BEST decisions
-=anyone out in the fight right now may actually spy a Cataphract that doesn't seem to have the greatest handle on it's flying. Oddly enough, it's pretty damn spot on when using that lance as a range weapon, though it seems to be only disabling the other fighters, not destroying them=-
HAHAAH! So I may have stolen a mech from the aliens and I'm trying to get over to mars to help but they're kinda really mad at me and the EDSF are probably gonna be mad at me too so does anyone have a code or something to keep the Earth people from shooting at me!?!?
-=of course he was gonna steal the best mech he could get his technology oriented super powered fingers on. not the most tactically sound decision though because it made some of them extra mad=-

I should have seen this coming. [It's too late for Prompto to turn back.] Be careful. Someone give him something he can use, please?

-=that is sort of not a lie?=-
And I told you I was coming!
no subject
[It's not entirely a lie. Part-time lie.]
I know you did, but still.

-=which is waaaaay better than daemon fueled anything!=-

-=he was TRYING to be sneaky, it just didn't work out that way=-

[There's a long pause.]
What I'm trying to say is that now they want to eat you.
no subject
-=even his mental voice sounds a bit high pitched at that=-
Why's there always gotta be some crazy alien that eats people!

In a way, it's kind of an honor.
Sort of.

Where are you? I'm scrambling a crew to come run interference and escort you back. Those things have been known to self-destruct, so the moment you get a chance, find a way to disable that. Matt's getting you a code.
Stay alive, understood?
no subject
-=before he left the hangar even. oracle powers are whats actually keeping him alive right now. he knows everything he could possibly know about the mech but he doesn't have all the experience actually using it=-
I can send you the coordinates I'm just not sure where to send them too! I was on one of the dropships. I was able to mess with the computers but it was kinda more obvious than I thought once we deployed.
do you want an action thread?
Yas plz!
-=he's probably spending more time interfaced than is healthy, but he can at least push information around at the speed of thought that way rather than wait for his fingers to cooperate=-
Thank you thank you thank you!
[action]
Hailing Cataphract! This is Lieutenant Commander Shirogane of the ESDF! We received your communique and are here to escort you back to the Valiant! Please refrain from firing on the Firebirds - we're here to help.
[action]
Action all the way
Surrender now and return. I will treat you fairly. This is your last warning.
[And that sure is an energy lance out of seemingly nowhere. Without immediate (and very skilled) evasive maneuvers it's likely to be a direct, crippling hit.
The mech that just fired it, however, is a modified sylph, not a cataphract.]
no subject
so his response is immediate, perhaps seeming as though his shield moved sooner than it should have. his movements are not skilled, awkward and desperate but frustratingly effective. because he's a big fat cheater is what he is, but it'll only save him for so long=-
Waaaah!! You call that a warning???
no subject
[The next shot is also meant to disable, but Hacet can spot the dissonance between piloting skill and results so he's also testing. So he doesn't press the attack just yet, even though his sylph clearly could attack more quickly and with more weapons than he's using.]
no subject
-=it's the same sort of thing. he only seems to have minimal experience on how to make the thing work, but somehow just seems to know how his opponents are going to move, or where they're going to fire. his piloting isn't timid, but it's definitely stressed and desperate=-
You didn't even give me a chance, jerk!
no subject
Starting now.
[Hacet does indeed wait the full twenty seconds. However, if Prompto doesn't start surrendering within that time he flies in close, attempting to upset that desperate piloting. He also has some close combat weapons he can bring to bear.]
