[Video]// backdated to the first liminal space

...I found the King's sigil again.

[Armin projects a brief look around, so people can know where he is, and then looks down to a manhole cover in one of the underpasses - where, just as he said, the golden sigil sits. Uncharacteristically, his tone is short and abrupt.]

Avoid this place.

[Private to Leo]

I'm not sure the same protections will work here, with all the traffic. Any ideas?

We will need more observation to discover the answer to that question, I fear. Too much to hope that it had been left behind. If it has begun appearing even during Jaunts, there will have to be more caution taken. Is there a way to protect against it, or lock the entrance?

Unfortunately, we're probably going to have plenty of opportunity to observe.

[Private]
There are ways to ward against it, but as impermanent as Liminal Space is, those wards will most likely need to be reapplied with every shift. We'll need to be vigilant, going forward.

We'll need the most acrobatic and nimble as well as the strongest of will to search it out and alert the rest of us.

[Private]
With so many eyes, vigilant we can be. It is a greater concern that there are so few who know how to seal it. I don't doubt that many mental protections would be nigh worthless in the face of what might come through, and if the sealers are infiltrating, there will be no way to fight the mental influence.

And the most trustworthy - or at least those least inclined to stick their head in the shark's mouth because they have a pressing need to see for themselves just what the fuss is about.

[Private]
You're not wrong. But spreading the knowledge too far could be just as dangerous as keeping it close.

I do not ask that you teach others the rituals to summon such creatures, Sabetha, if you still remember such things, but the means for people to protect themselves. If they have need of convincing, send them to me and I will tell them what I saw beyond the veil. I will show them the events if need be. But please, do not allow them to remain vulnerable through ignorance.

I'm not worried about teaching people to summon the Yellow King and his servants, I'm worried about them hunting that knowledge down themselves, thinking they will be the ones who can wield it safely. It's...difficult to remain halfway informed.

There will always be that risk.

The ambitious. The curious. The power-hungry. The ignorant and fearless. They will always seek to open it if they find it. Push the boundaries of their knowledge a little further, in the mistaken idea that they will be able to master what they find.

If these protections are restricted to a handful of Travelers, I fear what will happen if those few are forced to infiltrate when that gate is opened.
