Late in week 3

If the Conductors are being run by a giant computer in the Waking World, that makes them a kind of computer virus like the Automata, right? And if the Conductors are like the Automata, doesn't that make Questing Country a kind of computer system too? Like the ZODIAC?

I might be shit at computers, but I do know you can give them a kind of immune system by installing antivirus in them. So is there a reason we can't make an antivirus against Conducting and install it into Questing Country?

Something to undo the damage to the Conductors' wills and stop it from being spread by accident. Then the existence of the Conductors wouldn't be damaging to Questing Country, just like the Automata don't hurt the Grid or the ZODIAC anymore.

Reprogramming the macrochip is still important too, but if we can do both then won't Questing Country stay safe even if the bastards behind this decide to build a new macrochip and try again?

Thetan is fascinated by that world. [Thace sounds gently amused.] Someday in this one, that might not be a distinction.

And every new idea is a good one to share. We each of different skills and experiences, and it's by working together that we combine all we have into a greater whole.

[A pause.] Thetan may be rubbing off on me a bit.

It's a very true thing, and important to realize. It's something I admit I've had trouble with in the past.

[Thace chuckles.] Although my difficulty was in realizing that the different skills could be very different indeed and not just different specializations within the same skillset.

[Thace makes a soft sound of understanding.] That is also a struggle. One that can affect people in very different ways. It sounds like you've overcome, though.

I'm not one to judge. It took three dungeons for me. The important thing is that we continued to fight for progress and growth, even at our lowest.

Giving up was never a viable option for me either, but I know how hard it is to get up and keep fighting when all hope seems lost. I found it in myself to escape the torture table and go to finish my mission, even knowing I was compromised and surely being watched. Even the slimmest chance of success was worth it.

It sounds like we both succeeded, by making the choice to keep fighting.

We did, with the help of our siblings and allies. And we will do so again.
