Last Jaunt we were missing about a dozen people - maybe some of you in your right minds noticed. When that happens, you figure, maybe we did something wrong. Probably they got dropped into a dungeon, or they went walkabout, or just vanished.

When they mostly come back wearing uniforms, though, I think maybe something stranger happened. And we should all catch up with what happened to each other, no?

So: who wants to start?

I know that we also lost at least one person on the Jaunt. Tohru Adachi of Inaba is missing. He was on the Jaunt for the first week or so, and then he vanished.

I, er, had a bond with him, so I recognized when he wasn't there anymore.

Also, I have noticed that there are more than a few people who have retained their physical forms from the Jaunt. Has anyone found a way to change back? I never thought I'd say this, but for once I think I would rather not be male.

I changed back when I walked through the doorway into da Vinci's spaces, but I don't know if that was cuz I wouldn't've fit through the doorway as a spartoi or if it's cuz that felt more natural to do.

I have been to Leonardo-sensei's workshop, and I am, unfortunately, still male. Hm.

Perhaps if I try different things, or go to sleep that would help.

Maybe. I don't really know how this hùnzhàng works. That was, uh, my first time in one of these things. Jaunts. Whatever you call 'em.

Let me know if you figure out the body thing? I'd like to have that sort of thing under control, instead of having it jump back out at me when I ain't expecting it.

There are some travelers who have kept traits from Jaunts that physically transformed them, and could switch back and forth at will, with some concentration. Perhaps it is something like that?

Oh, well, sure, if you'd rather. Most folk who don't know each other that well go by last names, where I come from.

[There's a pause, as she realizes just who she's talking to.]

Though I guess you do kinda know me, in a way. Even if that weren't 'xactly me in all ways. You don't still got that bond thing to me, too, d'you?

[She's run into Zed by now, and knows she still has it with him. Very weird.]

I have none. I was born a bastard and did not inherit my father's family name. Vinci is the village in which I was born.

[Well, at least he's honest.

The awkward silence on both their ends does make Leonardo a little nervous, but she thankfully speaks up about it before he does.]

I would not know, not unless we were in physical proximity. Unless you wished to test it at a distance with physical or mental injury, I believe meeting to determine that might be best.

[She's from the future, okay. And some planets do things differently, but it does still seem an option. Maybe he's from a more backward sort of planet? (No, she hasn't put together his name. She might actually not even know it.)]

Guess I'd better come find you. I've still got one with Zed. And I think with Genevieve. So it's sure possible.

More than one. But that always happens. It's the mass disappearances that concern me.

... Are you using any powers from the Jaunt? Every time I tap mine, I find myself back in the body I had there.

Not that I know of. I acquired a new...well, subset of my normal power, which I have used, but I do not think that has anything to do with my gender situation.

My Champion powers are gone.
