Last Jaunt we were missing about a dozen people - maybe some of you in your right minds noticed. When that happens, you figure, maybe we did something wrong. Probably they got dropped into a dungeon, or they went walkabout, or just vanished.

When they mostly come back wearing uniforms, though, I think maybe something stranger happened. And we should all catch up with what happened to each other, no?

So: who wants to start?

... Perry and Mina... they were in Dolorosa. And they were infiltrating at the time. The Baroness of Flamegard and Sir Perry, were they not?

We have never seen Tobi as an investigator. One made no sense, but three... perhaps Jordi and Dara, who were also infiltrating when we met them, were of the same lot.

There are a few others who are the same way. Ode, Yuri. Donna, & Trey. We see them now and then, but not every time. Always infiltrating.

They used to call them 'Familiar Faces.'

Donna...? The angel in Melasurei?

They do not seem to share much in common, although, Mina and Perry have so far always appeared together. First in Dolorosa, now here in Questing Country and in Nibiru. I do not think they appeared the first time we were in Nibiru, as I did not see them at dinner, so that would match what you had said about not appearing every time, Remy.

Perhaps they only appear when they are needed, for some reason, by the Trumps? That would explain why they always Infiltrate, if the Trumps are guiding them.

But where do they get kept in the meantime, is the question? Are they just puppets? Illusions?

I been asking those questions as long as I can remember, never found a good answer yet.

You said it yourself, they appear quite human. They do not seem to be illusions.

[But puppets... that gets him thinking.]

This is, of course, only a theory. But might they indeed be the Trumps' 'puppets', so to speak, as we are when we infiltrate? Only, they are stuck in a constant state of infiltration. Time and space do not seem to matter to the Trumps, as we have appeared in the past, future, alternate present, and I need not mention the varying worlds found in Jaunts. So it is plausible that these Familiar Faces also need not adhere to strict space and time as we do, if the Trumps control them.
