I apologise for disturbing anyone but, I was wondering if someone could direct me to the 'Illuminant' spellbooks? I've heard of them and, if possible, I'd like to take the time to read and hopefully learn some spells myself... Especially before we're thrust into the next Jaunt.

... Even more trouble is that I feel I might need someone to help me. I ah... am unfamiliar with this kind of magic, and am no mage.

I don't trust demons. Spirits, yes, but demons... no.

I tend to just think of it as an animal, since that's how it acts. But I don't really have any experience with demons that don't come from a Jaunt, either.

The demons I've encountered in Thedas were all malicious creatures intent on destroying everything they touched. [There's a distinct thrum of anger from her mental voice as she remembers her time in the Fade, when saving Connor, the damage they'd so happily done.] Even the most sweet, supposedly only wishing to give a man his deepest desires, was only doing it to feed on his life and to remain out of the Fade.

Ain't ever met nobody who wasn't out for themselves, in the end. Don't suppose demons are any different. But I can usually find plenty of that shit in regular people.

At least regular people don't always want to drain you of your life force and feed on your soul.

You obviously ain't met the same people I have, sister. That sounds like a pretty good description of the Necromongers, to me.

That's about as unpleasant a name as "necromongers". Wonder if they've got anything else in common.

They use blood in place of lyrium to enhance their powers and summon demons to do their work. Sometimes it is an act of desperation, using one's own blood to escape a dire situation. Other times... they use sacrifices to cast their spells.

Sounds pretty nasty, all right, then. Necromongers just convert you and take away your pain so you'll fight better. They think everybody's gotta die to make it to their sacred underverse. Different, but still pretty bad.
