Yeah, this is getting bad... [Day after Joker (aka, Hajime) being attacked]

Hey, guys? This is Right. I guess I'm kind of a newbie, but that's not important right now. We got a problem. A BIG problem, one different than those Hunters Thorne talked about earlier. You guys heard about Baadur? He's my boss; I work with his pack as one of their corvigers. Nice guys, but you don't wanna piss off the girl werewolf. Trust me; she's that scary.

Anyway, last night, one of the others got attacked by one of Bagrat's men. His name's Joker, and he was protecting one of the other corvigers when it happened. Joker's okay. He's hurt, but Baadur patched him up. He also got proof of the attack, too, so that the local authorities can get on it. But Baadur and everyone else thinks that Bagrat's trying to go after us in order to scare Baadur into dropping out of the election. They also think that his people might be the ones that attacked that person close to Lady Elphaba recently, too, so that she could drop out as well.

That's not happening. This isn't how elections are supposed to be run. You're supposed to just debate and bicker over policy stuff, not try and kill each other! And we need to find a way to get this jerk and his people to stop.

I don't know - something seems off. Elphaba's pointed out that Baerry is the only victim who's been left right on someone's doorstep. Maybe the plan was to do that with Joker, too, but... I don't know.

What do you mean by that? Are you saying that Bagrat's not the one who's behind these new attacks? I mean, I'm pretty sure Joker's not lying about who attacked him.

I'm not saying that at all. I'm just not sure he's behind all of them.

Then, who could be behind the one that killed...Baerry, wasn't it?

That, I don't know. Elphaba thinks it's Bagrat, but if Bagrat was the one behind the attack on Joker, then it seems strange that he'd switch things up like this for Baerry.

What happened to the guy who attacked Joker?

I think Joker killed him, because he came in naked and covered in both his and the attacker's blood. Not the corviger's blood, though; that guy's unhurt. But I saved some of the blood on a handkerchief for Baadur to use, and they also kept the silver knife used to hurt him.

[She was hoping he'd survived; it might have been helpful to talk to him. Then again, it might not have.]

I'm glad he's okay, or going to be - especially after what happened to Baerry.

Yeah, he'll be fine. Baadur's pretty good with magic, so I'm sure he'll help patch Joker up alright.

Still...this is getting pretty bad. People of the candidates attacking each other...this ain't how things are supposed to go.

One of the vampires that was killed had nothing to do with the election.

[She's quiet for a moment, thinking.]

We need to catch of these people alive. But I really don't like the thought of waiting around for someone else to be attacked.

[Minako has a very bad feeling about this.]

No. Wait, was he—?

[She really, really hopes he's not dead. For Yua's sake as well as his.]

[For a moment, Minako is quiet, as nearly every curse she knows cycles through her head. Then she gives herself a mental shake.]

Are you somewhere safe?

I'm just...done with it all Minako. I can't take much more.

[Minako can feel her heart breaking a little.

A pep talk would probably be worse than useless at this point; the words would just ring hollow and Yua would hate it.]

[Given that Yua already feels hollow enough? It would be heard on deaf ears. This was the nail in the coffin and we don't speak about what happened with Souji. The big dick dingus]

I...I don't know anymore.

I'm tired of these jaunts and stupid faceless god wannabes watch us screw up while they sit back and watch us and mark us for some damn game we don't even know what the hell to do. How much is enough?

Anyway we can find them? Like...any magic that we can use to track them down?

[He's seen Baadur use magic a couple of times now; he knows that it exists in this world.]

[Minako can't remember when she last felt so helpless - well, no. She can. But she and the others had been able to push their way through anyway and gotten themselves a(n admittedly expensive) miracle.

She doesn't see any miracles on the horizon now. Yua's falling apart practically before her eyes and she's not sure there's anything she can do to stop it.]

I don't know. I wish I did. Because this—

[She can feel herself tearing up, and she really hopes Elphaba doesn't walk in here and see her like this.]

It's too much and it's not fair.

Really? Who was it?

I don't know. Scrying, maybe? If we could predict when it was going to happen, then maybe we could intervene.

[lunchleader]

Scrying works...but is there anyone who can do that? I mean, I could ask Baadur to see if he could do it. I know that he wants whoever's doing the killings caught - either Bagrat, or those hunters Thorne mentioned. But is there anyone else who can?

Good question. I might be able to get Elphaba to teach me how to do it - assuming she knows - especially if I couch it in terms of looking out for our safety. But I don't know if I'd be good enough at it in time. I'm sure a number of us could pick it up pretty fast, but there's still the same problem.

Finding an Infiltrator who could do it might be our best bet.
