Hm...I suppose wizards and dragons suited my talents better. The role I was playing wasn't too far off from my own young life.

And what else do you call strange powerful beings moving us around like pieces on a chessboard, hm? It's a game to them regardless of whether it is to us.

I've been in situations like this before. I find it helpful to hold no illusions about the mindset of the powers in charge.

Perhaps "story" or "play" would be accurate as well? Although we're given a good deal more responsibility than actors, seeing as no one handed me a script.

I guess play is a good way to describe it too, seeing as we're more like puppets being pulled around by the Trumps.

Well, I'm reserving judgment on whether it's a puppet show or proper genzai noh until I can look at a setting with my own eyes, but it's certainly one of the two, in a way.

I heard that mentioned before our field trip and was actually wondering how it worked.

[Sadly he has not; only the little lady and the little brother, neither of which was an encounter he was particularly fond of. He's fairly certain he still has a bruise on the back of his neck from Theo.]
