You're not alone. [Armin has long believed that it's likely they themselves are clones or copies of some sort, to explain why their leaving isn't noticed and doesn't affect their home worlds. But he's rarely inclined to share that theory, as it is not likely to be very popular - especially in that it would probably mean they could never go home.]
