[A couple days into Liminal Space, but before it changes, Naoki puts out a message. He sounds... tired, but satisfied.]

I've worked out something that will counteract the radiation exposure most of us just got. There's some in the workshop and some in Kanji's place - there should be enough for everyone who was on Gehenna.

Please, guys, take a bottle. I don't care how invincible you think you are, I don't care how much you might think I hate you, I don't care how bad you think it tastes - I did the best I could, but it's still pretty clearly medicine. Radiation is serious business, and none of us deserve to be stuck with the long-term effects if there's a way around it. If it turns out you absolutely cannot get it down for some reason, let me know and I'll try another version.

You know what cancer is, then? I thought I'd heard the word before, but I couldn't remember what it means. And... I've had a cold or a slight fever a couple times since then, but I haven't felt sick in the same way, no.

[Eren growls, and there's the sound of him slamming a fist into a wall. Of course no one that knew what the hell it was could have found it first. Of course the only ones he could blame were yet again the Trumps. He hates them so damned much already, they were starting to give the titans competition for being the thing Eren hates the most. But after that initial outburst he takes a few deep breaths and forces himself to calm down. It obviously takes him quite some effort and the bite doesn't quite leave his voice, but for the most part he manages.]

Yeah, you probably overheard Dad talking about it sometime. I'm not surprised you didn't remember it. It's rare enough back home that Dad only ever had one, maybe two cases a year. But when he did see it... [He trails off, and when Eren speaks again there's definite notes of fear and uncertainty in his voice.] W-well, what I remember of their symptoms weren't anything like a cold. So that should mean you're okay. Right?
