[There's a long pause with a little bit of the psychic equivalent of Jules muttering coding nonsense to himself.]

Huh, that's weird, I wonder if--

I dunno, they seemed to be going alright before I tried to see if I could hack the machine under the hospital.

Except for when we were out in the wilderness before we found the city. The wilderness sucks. Nature is overrated.

Nature has a lot to recommend it. Surely being able to portal into liminal space should have simplified it.

Do you know what the machine was meant to do?

Well, yeah, but still, it's not like there was WiFi or AC or anything and then the wildlife tried to kill you...

...and well, I didn't know it at the time, but now they're telling me it was a freaking dimensional gateway or something, but I didn't know!
