[ Steph's voice is oddly flat for her, tone carefully controlled. ]
Okay, so... now that we're all back together and everyone knows who they are again... or, well, most of us, anyway...
Who here was a Manticore Knight? And do any of you know what the hell happened to Tim when he was infiltrating? There weren't that many of them, he was one of them, and his body was full of bullet holes in their morgue, so someone has to know.

[This is very much not the voice she expected or wanted, though on reflection, it had been stupid to think that he wouldn't inquire into his grisly fate.]
I think that was more because he started struggling too hard during the exorcism...and because he was enough of a jerk that no one involved was very invested in him surviving the attempt.

I'm not that much of a jerk, though, am I?

I'm not... good at jokes. People don't always... notice.

I trust you.

[ there's a bit of a pause, though there's still a sense of her presence on the connection. She's weighing thoughts, ideas, and she is not the sort of person to think aloud ]
You should... come to our-- [ no, not "our", not unless he wants it to be and she doesn't know if he does ] to Steph's... room. Bodies sometimes... remember. And if it doesn't, you... still need to train. To stay safe.
[ clearly the first thing she will do, now that the jaunt is over and they're not courting trouble trying to find out what happened to him in Newport, is to assess what he may or may not remember of his combat training and start from scratch if necessary.
Her brand of "training" might not work as well for Tim as it had for Steph given their different dispositions, but if nothing else it'll get him used to the idea of taking a hit and getting back up no matter what.
Knowing he can theoretically do that will make her feel better, at least ]
As soon as you... can.

I know I've kind of been wandering while everyone was busy with the Jaunt. Is Steph's room... uh. Should I be staying there? Or would that be awkward? I know I was staying there before.

[The Telepathic Network, right know, is what he knows best and where he is most comfortable, but he knows that isn't universal, and before long he is standing on the mats in Steph's room, tuning his focus to there here and now rather than leaving any of his psychic observations running in the background.]

And waves, almost shy, or maybe just uncertain. It's so weird to have to get to know him again, so to speak. To let him get to know her. ]
That's... the bed. [ said, pointing up to the lofted bed above them that has room for at least four people - more if they all decide to cuddle together, probably ] It's soft.
[ ...look, she's not really sure how to have this conversation. Does he want to even stay here with them even though he doesn't remember them? Maybe he's not sure if he does even if they want him to? Cass wants him to. She should show him the benefits of staying here. Like the soft bed. ]
