Now that we've been released, let's speak on where we are and what is going on.

For those of you new to our numbers, this is a Jaunt. We are brought to a particular world and given a task. What that task is...none can say. But it will be more apparent in time, and then we can take action.

[A pause, almost a sigh.]

However, we have to focus on a few things first, such as food and shelter, and finding our way around the city. We'll need to begin our search as soon as possible. Has anyone found anything suitable for us to use in the meantime? We should gather there and regroup.

And if anyone has heard about what was going on in the alleyway when we arrived? Or about the card that was left behind?

Ambrose and Lila both found out a little. The card's a code, signaling that someone's going to have somebody else killed. So, that should be the investigation, right? We find out who's behind it, and we stop them!

Food and shelter requires money. Money requires acquiring it, which probably means stealing. Whoever has the quickest fingers, volunteer.

One obvious option is, find out who's behind it and kill them. And whoever the hired gun is. [Just get rid of everyone. Clean slate.]

We'll still need to deal with the aftermath if he finds out.

But, barring that, we don't know who the hit has been put out on either. What if they're a criminal and we need to ensure that they die? We don't have all of the facts yet.

There's quite a few of us. Perhaps if we split up and look into each of these, piece by piece, we can find something substantial to go on.

Shelter's never too hard, as long as people don't mind living rough for a few days. Food is trickier - strong-arming from somewhere draws police attention, which we don't want. Doesn't anyone have any sort of useful powers for this?

I can get us water fairly easily. Food? Not so much. Don't people give tithes or donations in this world?

Arming people without teaching them how to use things is usually bad. How many of us actually know how to shoot?

Judging by how rough the city looks, I'm going to put my bets on 'no'. Rich get richer, and don't give a fuck about the rest of us. [Just like home. Even if 'home' was a domed city with tech far in advance of this place]
